57 going to 83.

Nice outside earlier feeding birds with that orange Sturgeon moon setting in the west, and Jupiter and Venus close together in the east...on August 12th they'll be at their conjunction, only two full moons apart. Great moon photo, Ron.

BEF, deck is looking great. You should plan a little celebration for when you finish.

Scott, looks like a fun time at that beach.

FWT, hope that mole wound heals up nicely for you.

Did some planning yesterday, and then mowed...low humidity let me tackle a really high area that just won't dry...it was still pretty damp. First time my zero turn sounded like it was laboring to cut through, so I slowed down...really was a job for the bush hog at this point, but got it done.

Coffee is extra good, knowing it is in the 50s outside. :)

Good morning TBN!!
60 this morning with a high of 80. May see some sun today. It will be the first we've seen in August. Also should be fairly dry. Also for the 1st time since July. Hasn't done much for the mood.

Forgot to post yesterday but it is a carbon copy. Same today.
Mostly been cleaning, sorting, and moving stuff from one place or another in the garage. Taking lots of time as I have been fixing little things as I go.
Got the new spindle for the Husqy yesterday. (again) This one had the top bearing with it and went back together with minimal aggravation.
Hopefully it will dry out enough to get some outside work done today. Otherwise more of the same in the shop.

Time for a second cup
Everyone have a great and safe day!!

Coffee is cooling in cup. 67° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 88° with mostly sunny skies. Spent some time in shop. Seem to be cooler in shop with metal roof on it. Will be in there working of some little projects. Front yard needs to have grass cut again. Hope to get at that today before it gets too hot.
August Sturgeon Full Moon.

Got home in time to get the trimming done with the Lazer, grandson mowed the runway.

He knows that the clippings have to be blown off when you are done mowing, and is diligent about getting it done.

A friend that’s a county park ranger sent me this picture, the gator was removed from a lake in a county park. Pretty unusual for Pennsylvania.

We had a good night of playing music, all in all I fit a lot into the day.

Today, wife is already off to a farmers market to peddle her wares, oldest son is working on next section of dock, I’ll help him get started, but I think I’ll spend some time at the RC field with the old guys this morning, and then rejoin the dock party.

I really need to do some trimming along the hedgerows, there is a lot of branches coming out to meet me when I pass by on the Lazer. Got my headphones and hat knocked off twice yesterday, and arms attacked by multiflora. I think I will recruit youngest son to assist in that project.

Morning,

Returned from our camping trip and lots of changes in our lives. Work has been especially difficult as you can imagine if one follows the news. My eldest got her position back as a Park Ranger, but the relocation to the east coast during the RIF has set her back.
Closed out my FIL's estate.
Managed to sell all his vehicles, personal sales and auctions. The auctions were a really good experience.
MIL moved in with us. 'nuff said about this.
Another horse showed up. Friend of a friend caught in the government employment cycle.
My Dads estate closed. My shark lawyer made some change. The State government I was dealing with refused to seek or press charges against a person who committed fraudulent activities.
Interesting weather these last few months. So much rain, first year we have not added water to the pool.
More trees came down with the passing storms. Matter of fact, the big Walnut shed a branch a few days ago. No storm, just a big crack. Still have rounds in the front to split and move.
Grass cutting should be a twice a week adventure. Another pass was done yesterday, it appears to be thinning out. I raised the mower decks to 4.25 just because it is so thick.
Lots of Harry homeowner stuff. I did a lot of electric work these past few months. Got rid of all the florescent tubes in the guest house, went with a row of LEDs. Need to patch ceiling over there. Added a new switch for walkway/entrance way lights to the Milk House for the MIL to see at night.
My dishwasher died yesterday. Electronics...of course. It was a 100 dollar special from Lowes. I made money on that deal as it lasted way more than expected. Shopping in progress.
Had to call in professionals for bee issues. They ended up in my tool shed walls next to the house, the barn and the house itself. Finding a way into the house through the a/c drip line. I have another nest, bald face hornets, up under the gutters on the house itself. Will wait until winter to deal with them. The others were yellow jacket types.
I have a gate to install in the pasture today, so need to get busy there. We rearranged the horse boarding to accommodate the additional horse.

Hope all are well. I have a lot of ketchup to do, be safe.
