Got Morning,
Ct, 71 to start going to 90 or above and the humidity to go along with it.
Work this morning but only a hand full of deliveries. Thank goodness for that.

Dennis, I will let you know what happens with that install. Right now, I still have another deck to install the Trex on, and it’s too darn hot for that IMO. So probably this fall.

More grand kids over this afternoon for more swimming etc. The grass needs to be cut so we will see how much ambition I have later

I guess that’s it for now, hoping everyone has a wonderful day
We had fog heavy fog and temps of 78° this morning.

We're gonna feel like we are being steamed later today

Morning;
Well I was going to get a good start this morning early and get outside before it got uncomfortable.
Oh well, best laid plans.
Got up and drank a cup of coffee, then my wife was up so another cup and then breakfast, by then I just didn't care to go out and work like I should have.
Also I was down to one egg left so off to the egg store I went, picked up a flat of jumbo seconds (15 eggs) and dozen Super Jumbos, grand total of $6.80.
It's terrible when you can patronize a local farm and save money.
Think I'll hard boil some for munching and salads.
Also some left over chicken to make into salad.

All stay safe and comfortable

Good morning! 70˚s-90˚s no rain in the 10 day, S winds.

Our lake is over full and the flood gate are open to get it down to the full level. The earthen spillway at 834' was not needed, The level now is 801' down from the high of 806'. Full pool is 791'.

The dam only stops the water on the N San Gabriel river there is no dam on the S San Gabriel river. The farm is East after the N and S rivers merge.

My work tractor did not flood as you can see at 1:15 in this YouTube:

I hear the tunes of that song do it to me one more time...
but the siren of outdoors going to really have to wiggle it
to attract me outside with heat index near 100.
got rv washed and dried.
went over interior of car recleaning some spots on seats that did not come out
like new with the detail. Looks like they won't either. But at least it all feels clean now.
and then it just go too hot to go on without starting up car for a/c. Tomorrow morning will work.

I'm waiting on Amazon delivery with a special upholstery glue rated for leather, but works on other things, which is good
because pretty sure I have fake leather. But several rips in right rear door, like something banged into it, tried to take a divot.
I'm going to glue the divots back. Likely rebadged super glue.

78F with a rain shower @ 11:00, calling for a high of 80F for the day with thunderstorms developing later ... some of which could be severe.

Got mowing all done on the compost/woodlot late yesterday afternoon.

Also got the water changed in the sweet potato slips.

Ventured out after dinner to see what was going on back at the Kubota, no apparent bee activity.

Snuck over to that rotted stump to check it out ... appeared to be as I suspected: carpenter bees:

They seemed pretty busy trying to clean up the havoc I had wrought and didn't pay much attention me getting within 3' to take a picture.

Moved the Kubota after that and parked it off the lawn.

Then headed over to the garden and did some more work getting vines woven into the trellises. Stuff grows so fast that you have to stay on it every day or two, otherwise it gets out of control.

Finished up the day with the first harvest of the season:

Woman was able to locate the vacuum sealer yesterday so I'll prep the squash, blanch and bag it and get it thrown in the freezer today.

Now I just need to locate the extra bags.

Watched the bats for a bit and then came on inside.

Given the forecast, it's looking to be a mostly inside day today ... not sure what I'll get into but there's certainly no shortage of potential projects.

Hope everyone is having a decent Wednesday.

Lazer had a blade come loose, which was pretty odd. It stayed on, the symptom was an incomplete cut in heavy growth, but generally worked ok.
I had those problems before and made worse by using it in rough areas. At least on mine if left loose too long it would overheat the cupped washers and loose the spring action and also would wear to where the clearance was reduced and the blades could not be tightened to spec. The splined insert would allow the blades to rotate despite being torqued to spec. Use the torque wrench every time now and tighten to spec at 95 ftlbs
