Thomas, the ticks are the worst I can remember this year. Deer ticks (Lyme), Lone Star ticks (Alpha-gal), Dog ticks (Rocky Mtn Spotted Fever, Tularemia), and I read about a new one that's here, but haven't seen it. I've had numerous bites. I feel like I need the Frontline medicine on my neck in addition to Della.
 dang...thought we had it bad not so.

Good morning TBN!!
70 this morning going up to 90. Still no rain in the gauge but better chance today.

Yesterday we went and ran a couple of errands the looked for garage sales. Must be too hot because there were very slim pickens.
Came back home and I jumped on the tractor only to find halfway down the drive I had a flat front. Backed it back up to the garage to fill, but the valve stem disappeared inside the tire. I put air in it a week or so ago and it slow leaked.
Is it common practice to tube the front tires? I put the tires on new through my dealer but never thought or asked if it was tubed.
Anyway that's on todays agenda.
Not much else.

Time for a second cup.
Everyone have a great and safe day!!

Morning all, 81 going to 88 and sunny. Some rain last night
Got a lot of small stuff done yesterday, picked up pool salt and stabilizer, cleaned up and refilled the fire pit and wood pile. Starting cleaning out the trampoline.
Dog walk at peddlars village, dinner out.
Amazing how a little cleanup ends up being 4 hours of work.

Saw lots of Capybaras in Central america. Never had them on the dinner plate like the locals do.

Today, put oil on the acacia table and work on the driveways swale to get better water flow.

Garbage can knocked over again, played pickup trash, guess we have raccoon at play.

Sorry for your loss Drew, your commitment and visits I am sure helped. Good on you.

Hope you can find a nurse soon Buppies.

M7040 a drive with the mrs and she is feeling better, thats a good day.

Be well,

Still cleaning up more stuff from the last storms. Here is another Maple that is dropping branches. Of course I just noticed the main trunk has poison ivy, will need to deal with that.

Have to be careful while mowing, was just here the day before this fell.

Easy cleanup with the pole saw.

Bugs pick the strangest places to hang out, this is the pool skimmer.

I went to investigate the same rear rv tire looking low and the tpms sensor was gone.
as was the inner tire extension. Took off the hubcap, end of extension ripped off and sensor gone.
that would explain the flat...
means jacking up the rv to get the outer rim off and that I will delegate to the gas station. I need a new air
extension anyway. Straight one broke so I replaced it with a flexible one. Now that broke. ? I think it's the weight of the tpms
sensor creating issues

mounted new weather station sender outside onto post of pergola, put screen for it on my office desk.
was not able to aim it correctly so I might have to rethink the mount. Wants to be on a post away from everything.
I'm blocked from at least one direction now, but I really don't care about wind from the East, not a big issue usually.

76F and partly cloudy @ 10:45, heading up to around 88F for the day's high with a mix of sun and clouds. Winds light and variable. DP 69F, HU 80%,"feels like" temp 77F.

Even though it was cooler yesterday it was still miserable out there due to the sun and humidity.

Rain we got yesterday morning didn’t amount to much … probably less than 1/8”. Nothing materialized after that.

Topped up gear oil in Kubota front axle and then spent a good part of the day bringing down wood chips to mulch the area between the strawberries and the flower bed.

Hauled down 20 bucketloads ... almost complete, will try to get that finished up today before it gets too hot out there.

Tried to confine most of the hauling when there was at least partial cloud cover. Took a break when there wasn't and gave The Woman a hand, working in the basement ... which felt like being in an icebox in comparison.

Removed some spilled oil-based paint off off floor tile and got residue from that cleaned up with some mineral spirits.

Loaded up the dump cart with some items to go up to the garage, trash to go up to the cans at the road, and junk to go up to the burn pile. Got all that delivered and unloaded.

Refilled the two suet feeders.

Sprayed the primed t post with a topcoat of Hunter Green Rust-oleum Industrial enamel.

Sprayed both sides of the frog pond with glyphosate, about 1 1/2 gallons applied.

Woman ran over to the Mexican place in Barberton to pick up chow, we split an order of Cazuelada, Mexican rice and refrieds for dinner.

Threaded some more tomatoes into the straight trellis after dinner, managed to break off the leader on one of the Trip L Crops by being careless which pizzed me off.

On agenda for today:

Water in the sweet potato seed jars still needs changed.

Refill hopper and both tube feeders.

Refill both glyphosate sprayers.

Do some spraying in shady areas.

Hang remote sensor for Indoor/Outdoor Thermometer.

Finish up wood chip hauling.

Grass in front - which was looking long yesterday - still needs mowed.

Maybe some work down in the basement to cool off.

Woman commented this morning: "No groundhogs ..."

HA !

Hope everyone is having a decent Sunday.

Put a Crossfire system on both wheels
I put a set on my motorhome rear tires. Worked very good for many miles.

spent some time planning and confirming my next rv trip, another two day special, this time out to Lancaster to
see my lifelong friends there. They owned the Lancaster Honda dealership, and in 1988 I bought my Foreman atv from them.
since they are into music, I made reservations at the Belvedere Inn in Lancaster for dinner Friday night July 11, they have some kind of live
background music playing. Looks pricey but they liked the place.

this is such an easy trip for me, only about two hours. Out the PA turnpike a little ways and then 202/30 all the way out.
Campground is on 30 in Gordonville,Country Acres, have been there before. Probably will go to central market Sat morning, or some other bakery.
Will bring a bunch of baked goods home for the locals.

first I surely have to fix that tire. Though first actually is my 14yo nephew's son who is coming tomorrow morning to help me wax the upper
front eyebrow of the rv. Other than scaffolding, no way to reach that area, so he will slide on his stomach from above.
needs a three course dose of compound, cleaner wax and a top coat of chemical guys butter wax. I have a buffer, but this is mostly hand work due
to the vinyl lettering up there. No cleaner wax or any wax on the vinyl, just dries it out. Going to get a small towel soaked in 303 protectant and have him go over the big decal there. And once that towel is soaked with expensive 303...he can hit the plastic a/c cover, vents and cowls up on the roof. I'll keep him going til noon, by then i'll be worn out anyway. I promised to barbecue some burgers for him for lunch and that will be some quality time together. Luckily he has plenty, I mean plenty, of practice waxing stuff since his father has at least half a dozen collectible cars including Ferraris stored in his barns, and just built another three car garage. For the future...
this young man is a real worker and I don't have to supervise. Just have to explain carefully, then I'm sure it will look great when he is done.
after hanging upside down for hours, I wonder how he will be... (going to make sure he takes some breaks)

probably should go inspect the green beans, pick the larger ones. I try to pick them fairly small anyway.
this Burpee assortment is remarkably productive
I bought the half pound by mistake. I'm on the second year and I still have beans out my ears, and the germination was still perfect.

Currently 85F @ 15:30.

Just finished mowing the front.

Rehung Japanese Beetle trap.

Noticed yesterday while spraying they have started to appear.

Five more bucketloads of wood chips brought down before it got too hot.

Plants on back shelves watered.

Hopper feeder refilled, also scattered some seed for the ground feeders.

Both 1 gallon glyphosate sprayers refilled.

House sparrow trap looks like it has 4 - 6 customers in it.

Think I’m going to have some lunch before I do anything else.

I've heard of numerous valve stem failures from the tpms sensors hanging off the end of the valve stems.
Motorcycles and trailers seem to have been the most effected.

M7040 a drive with the mrs and she is feeling better, thats a good day.
Thanks, indeed nice to be able to do something that she likes

I used to work in Barberton. Spent a large part of my life in Stow. Glad I moved though ;)
Used to go there weekly for progress reports with customer and major supplier

Mowed some more and got stuck again in wet areas. The ZT has very limited ability to get it self out of trouble. The turf will look fine and then it breaks through and it is over. Had to get the tractor out a few times

Like mowing at the pond m7040 if pond is up I’m stuck or below pond near road often damp if a lot of rain. Just easier to use truck than walk up hill to get tractor.

Glad wife is feeling better mine has slept all afternoon so has puppy

If my front deck Kubota didn't have available 4wd I would hate see how often I'd have stuck or spun out going up hill. Quite often I'll be reaching for the 4wd lever in anticipation of needing it.
