68°F and 0 rain

Uneventful day yesterday.

Guys had a good game going then the girls swooped in and stole our victory the last hand. The honey garlic chicken was a hit. My kabocha fritters had morphed into more veggie, potato, corn, carrot, and an apple and were very good as well. Cheated on the grating and used the VitaMix.

Very impressed with you deck guys. Been a few years since my last deck. Didn’t know about the tape under the trex tip. Probably gonna wish I did. But what I do know is I glad I’m not building another.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

BEF, 38 years is a long time to have to put up with someone.

LS, condolences regarding the BIL.

Congratulations on new to you truck!

I did my civic duty this morning and voted in the Federal election. Hmmm, which liar do I vote for.
Dropped in on the accountant (3 miles from the elections office), he fixed all his screwups on the spot and by now the taxes should be E-filed. I should have my refund in my bank account by next Friday. Hopefully.

Also got my gallon of Power Service (white bottle, 64 oz/bottle x 2) Just before the oil guy delivers the load I will dump one in the 500 gallon tank and sometime just before the colder weather gets here I will dump the other one in. That should take the summer red diesel gel point down to -40°F.

Good Morning!!!! Plentiful sunshine. High 66F. Winds WNW at 15 to 25 mph.
Actually, it's mid-afternoon.

New table top looks beautiful, Drew. Hope it stays that way.
Neighbor practicing with a pellet gun in the backyard wouldn't worry me unless the line of fire was toward my property. Be nice if they'ed invite me over so I could join 'em.

I feel your pain, Ron. Sometimes I'm my own worst enemy and I'm expecting the item I'm looking for to look different than it actually does. How do you fix that?

Glad to read Dona is making progress, Ted, and that you did well on the trade for the truck. Hope her progress continues, and Spring gets there soon.

I e-filed my taxes a few days ago and now I see there's a letter on it's way here from the IRS. Argh.

Swore I wouldn't get caught up in paperwork today, but got sucked in anyway. Right now I'm waiting on a call back from the California DMV about renewing my driver's license. When I tried it yesterday, it kept tacking on two additional endorsements that I don't want and can't use, to the tune of $116. When I called them about it, their automated system wouldn't even let me leave a message or schedule a call back. Tried it again this morning, and they allowed the call back. And I just got a text message that it'll come in another 20 minutes. Here it is 30 minutes later, and no phone call. But I'm caught up with the GM posts.

Had another showing of the place up north yesterday. This realtor is one patient man. Blow hard potential buyer talked his ears off. I watched through the security cameras, but couldn't hear too well. What I did catch was the guy talking about himself, and not asking many questions about the property. We did learn he'd be a cash buyer that would self insure, so maybe not to concerned with wildfire related issues. We'll just have to see if he makes an offer. Have two showings tomorrow, and Zillow says traffic on their site is still holding up pretty well.

TGIF gang!

Good dinner out with my wife. Crab imperial was very good. Never been to this place before, as it's on the other side of town and a pain to get to on a Friday, but we managed. Waitress was excellent. Only complaint is it was very noisy, and hard to hear each other. Place was packed.

Good (Saturday) morning. Overnight Low of 7.0C and it's presently 17.0C, clear with a gentle breeze. There was 0.5mm in the gauge @ 0900.

Well, I decided to 'do' both of the signs yesterday arvo... both addresses turned out to be straight forward to find and the second site in Fingal came with some assistance from the homeowner (who I was acquainted with from my Navy Cadets time). The bugger was the distance travelled = 200km all up. I got home by 1630.

This arvo will be a paddock transfer from #4 to #5 (for those of you keeping track at home :D ), including a round of hay. That last round lasted one day shy of 3 weeks. I should be able to chain-harrow Paddock #4 after that.

That's about it, take care all... and, Scotty, don't forget the meter.

Good Evening Guys,
I know , don’t forget the meter ! 😂

Trying to get something big but with decent gas mileage.
Ken, I got 23 mpg on the way back from Vermont today, not much in the truck except me but nice mileage. 2017 F150 with the 5.0 L engine.

Very impressed with you deck guys. Been a few years since my last deck. Didn’t know about the tape under the trex tip
David, after doing this deck I’m not rushing into the next deck 😉

Ted, glad to hear you on again, prayers to Dona with her recovery

Hope all have a good evening 🙏
