Good Morning to All who Celebrate! 55° going to a high of 65°, cloudy and scattered showers forecasted. Boy did we get a world ending thunderstorm last night! Surprisingly no damage that I could see on my way out to the truck this morning.
2/3 meadows brush hogged, 2/2 rabbits evicted temporarily. The old Ford is still running well, touch wood. Got the buck buried. Fun fact, you can use the bucket on a
L3901 to crush the year old bones down into the hole to prevent them from coming back up into your tractor tires at a later date. That sure wasn't in the brochure. Some light grapple work to carry away Mom's spring cleanup of her flower beds. The other night at dinner she said the dreaded T word (Tanbark) but you know, with the bucket, we're usually done the same weekend. If only I had that tractor when I was 12....
On the house-hunting front, nothing new came up that particularly struck my interest. But I've been pre-approved for 350k Officially. So that's an upside. Maybe once the pinching from these tariffs comes down, house prices will tumble as well.
Big boss brought us (Corporate) into a meeting, said he had challenged the stores to cut expenses by 10% and that we had to get travel expenses under control...just after they had gotten back from a big powwow somewhere in FLA. Rules for thee, not for me. While it's true freight is slowing down, construction seems to be forging ahead. Thankfully, they don't pay me to divine economic outcomes, just to fix stuff when it's broken.
Plans for the weekend: Do as little as possible, replace the filter in the farm boss to see if that's the issue, maybe sharpen them if I get the itch.
Y'all stay safe out there and be well! Enjoy the weekend!
Prayers to those ailing and recovering!
