Good Afternoon FWT,
I know spring makes everyone a little ancy to get out after it, but you can't do much if you over-do it!
Some good advice there. When I over extend myself doing outside work I pay for it the next day. šŸ˜’
Will try and keep that in mind working on the lawn today šŸ˜‰

66°F and .01 inches rain

Another section mowed yesterday. Hilo end of property complete.

Guys lost at H&F again. Was looking like a really bad blowout but we rallied at the end to only lose somewhat respectfully.

Off to primary care this morning, followup to last weeks blood test

Probably not continue mowing later, just piddle around.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

planted one rose bush, made another trip to local nursery for flowers, and then made a great big planter for front yard.
boy was that a bear to get off my cart on to the stump, hundreds of pounds.
that's enough for today
a soak in a hot shower is on the agenda.

Good Afternoon to the GM thread!

It's a cloudy 67°F with an expected hi temp of 72°F Winds 4mph out of the SSW.
Humidiy 84%.

I don't believe that I've gone 'political', just explaining a political 'system'.
Very concise explaination with out going political!

car goes into dealer on Monday likely for a complete trans overhaul, will cost me 100 bucks.
no guilt that I'm sure a loser to that warranty policy; will get twice as much back as I paid in in first year.
Hopefully your transportation issues will be resolved soon!

Puttered around the shop doing the constant moving around.
To keep moving is the key to longevity!

.... wish I could sleep I’m wore out.
Hope you get restful sleep and resolution to your worries.

Not sure what I will get into today but I’m sure it will be something. Also trying to make sure I have all the tools I need for the job up in Vermont for the deck replacement.
I depend on my listmaker wife to make sure I don't leave anything behind. Would never make it without her!

I am not going to purchase the mower, but I have good reason: LAND HO!

I found 40 acres of forest, not in a ridiculous gerrymandered shape, not with a deep marsh or sheer cliff to contend with,
Congratulations! I hope it all goes well!

As a backup, I've pulled together a web page that includes more detail than will fit in an MLS listing, using my own photos.
Congratulations! Your home is sparkling and should sell soon. I hope you get multiple offers!

Have a great weekend everyone and hope you get to eat some tacos!

Prayers for our Nation!

great big box delivered, saw it was the firepit part of my chair and fire pit set being delivered.
already read complaint from someone else saying parts missing but weren't, chairs come from different warehouse
apparently. There were no dings on firepit box despite it being very heavy. I left it outside, will work on it tomorrow.
need to bring cart over to move it so might as well wait til my helper is here.
no more oomph left today

friday night date night
I think I saw one of Wagtails wine faeries go by...cute thing, bottle of white in one hand, red in the other

Good Afternoon,
I had an unfortunate discovery on my materials for the Vermont deck 🄲. I called my neighbor up in Vermont, I call him Uncle Dave, even though he isn’t my uncle. I had him measure the straight section on the deck I’m redoing and the measurement was 6ā€ longer than I thought 🄲 So I bought 30 , 12 ft grooved Trex boards thinking that I could cut 10 in half to make the 20 courses that I need ! Now I need 10 more boards ! šŸ˜’

So the good news is that I can use the shorter boards that are left on the stairs going up the side of the barn to the second floor. So not a complete loss šŸ˜‰

Good (Saturday) morning. Overnight Low was a balmy 18.1C and it's presently dipped down to 15.1C (expected High of 23C), somewhat overcast & calm... for the moment. Wind is predicted to increase to over 40kph for this evening and all day tomorrow.

I'll need to take down my flagpole as a precaution.

More 'signs' erected yesterday and, with the help of a Mate (picking him up at 1000), I'll be able to finish my allotted signs today. It's, mostly, not that difficult putting up the signs, it's the time spent getting to the various locations. Then, of course, the time to get back home. Oh, well.

That's about it, take care all.

today was sort of a bust.
Woke up at 10:30, guess I was wore out yesterday.
was noon before I got the trailer on the truck, air in tires after sitting all winter.
Decided to go into the city to the HD that had the 20 ft solid edge TREX. Almost an hour drive, and they couldn't find them anywhere. That store is a mess. The regular 16 ft grooved ones were filthy dirty, some with bird crap on them, and this was in the store.
So drove to Frederick, got lunch at 3 pm after skipping breakfast, grabbed a couple 2x10x16 PT for the lower deck, got 8 pieces of 16 ft TREX loaded on my cart when someone came and offered to help me. I only bought 10 today.
Boy those things are slick, they stuck out a couple inches on back of trailer. Made a stop to check about 1/4 way home, and they were sliding out the back, even though I screwed down a board across the top of them. So dragged them up over the front, and put the board across the back so they couldn't slide out, and made it home.
Got rain moving in now.
