34° now and cloudy, partial clearing this afternoon highs in the mid 50’s. Winds N 10-15 mph.

Not sure what today will bring, after the rain yesterday probably be to squishy for much outside. Probably just another conserve energy day.

40 outside right now, heading to mid 60's.

Grass is greening up. Daffodils are popping, and the yard is a mess with the cut trees everywhere. It will be a while before all the work ends up in the wood sheds.

Need to get on the one shed roof to redo some panels sometime today. And split and stack....the daily routine addition for a long while.

My father passed away in his sleep today.

Made lots of calls.
Seems most of his friends are gone.

Tomorrow lawyers, accountants and making sure we get as much as we can straightened out for his GF, if she lets us.

Good Morning,
Ct, 28 to start going to 57. Sun is shining brightly now and hopefully stays that way. Much colder this morning but I would rather have the sun than yesterdays drizzle.

Looks like more lawn cleaning behind the house today. Tonite is our weekly FD drill. Tomorrow looks like a work day and Thursday we are going to Long Island with friends who own a cottage out on the island close to the beach. Sounds like we may be going out on the north fork for some wine sampling.

Should be able to get a nice long walk in this morning.

Yesterday afternoon I was looking at the ISavetractors website for parts to repair my old Wheel Horse tractor. That little shaft that opens and closes the points needs to be replaced, the last time I changed the points it looked pretty beat up.

Good Morning.
29° and will more than double today under a clear sky and light winds.

Yesterday kept me busy, made it to Home Depot for a diamond drill and charcoal, cooked lunch on the grill for some friends, it was one of their birthdays, (the one that will be pulling the manure spreader with the new axle). Wife baked him a cake, he was sort of surprised.

Spent a batch of time with Fusion 360, designed an adapter to slide on the plasma torch, and use a 9mm boresight laser to use as an alignment tool. That’s a 9mm snap cap that I used as a model shown, the laser will be here today.

Learning to model in fusion has been a bit of a challenge, but I learn more every day, and the knowledge builds on itself. But it is really handy to be able to take a thought and pull it out of the 3D printer or plasma table.

Today will start with breakfast with the professor, then getting the pork belly prepped and into the smoker, have a heat pump service call to fit in, and layout the area that I’ve got to grade and stone for the shed. There are still the downed trees that need to be cleaned up as well. Looks like one did some fence damage that I’ll have to deal with as well.
So I doubt boredom will be an issue today.

Sorry to hear about your Dad Ken, hopefully things will go well with his girlfriend.

Morning all, 32 going to 63 and sunny.
Moon lit up our bedroom this morning.

Calls today to accountants, fathers GF. talked to relatives last night. Can't find any of his friends still kicking, did talk to one of their wives who I have known since I was a kid. Some moved and I don't have their phone numbers.
Need to call my uncle too now that his little brother is gone, want to make sure he doesn't get too depressed.
Dad asked us to make sure GF is ok, we will do our best, trying to get her up to date on paperwork, social workers called in to help and so far they are helping.

Paperwork tonight for renegotiated loans to close.

Still working with son on college choice, will be visiting more campus areas in the next few weeks.

He is waitlisted on his first choice and have not heard back on his second choice, but still has 2 options in NYC and a few in PA/CA. The drama continues
