Just wear this shirt.....
even better, wear it into my Quaker Meeting...
now let's talk about tolerance in action...........................
but that's clearly a stretch, like eating pork chops in a synagogue.
but out on the street, anything truly goes.

too bad this pic wasn't taken showing his gleaming metal capped teeth
Mothers would pull little kids away on the sidewalk.

Good Morning
28° under a clear sky this morning. Temp is forecast to go up less than 10° under a bright sun. My lane might actually get melted down to the blacktop.

Yesterday was used up by the usual stuff, cleaned and reloaded fireplace, puttered in the shop, went out to lunch.
We had the brilliant idea to go to Costco just before the start of the Eagles game, and it was a good hunch. Place wasn’t completely empty, but checkout lines were nonexistent. We were in and out in record time.
Got home in time for a little stainless fabrication project for the restaurant. Got to try out my new wireless pedal for the TIG welder.

Found some time to see the Eagles embarrass Washington. DIL was at the game, watched it from the sideline. Son stayed home with grandson and the dogs. Youngest son and DIL came over for dinner, had another nice evening in front of the fireplace.

I have to meet someone from a propane company here at 11. They are proposing to swap my 320 gallon tank for a 500, and lower my price by a dolllar a gallon from my present supplier. The present supplier was a small family operation, that got bought up by a venture capital company to add to their empire. That empire is about to become one customer smaller. They almost doubled my price without any warning or explanation.

I’ve got a noon meeting at the oddfellows lodge with the other trustees to discuss finances and a budget. Then after that, the wife wants to go order a shed from the place that Drew got his from. We’ll see what we can do with whatever is left in the day after that.

That is one of the reasons that I bought my propane tank. At this time with only the kitchen stove on propane it is a bit of over kill. A 1000 gallon tank which cost me $5900 installed to replace my 100 pound cylinder. However seeing as how we will be having a gas insert installed in the fireplace this coming year to replace the coal burning insert that we use now. It is going to cost more for the heat but it will be easier to maintain and no kneeling down to empty the ash pan daily.

Good Morning to All who Celebrate! Currently 32° going to a high of 42°, that's going to feel tropical. Rain and snow forecasted for this weekend. Think I'll leave the snow-push on to keep the snow away.

The list did get shorter, just not by as much as I wanted. oil changed in the truck, ready for travel this week. Didn't get a chance to get around to the loader, saw, or tractor. Dog did not run away, but was very happy to see mom + dad pull in the driveway.

Helped Dad unload the furniture that came back from my sister's. Just a table and chairs this time. Put that away in the pole barn when Dad said something surprising. "I'm gonna sell that boat this spring."

The boat he's referring to is an 18' Boston Whaler sailboat that he's had for probably close to 40 years. When he and mom were dating/engaged, they would sail for hours upon hours. Think the last time we had it in the water was before I left for college. It has become a storage for pool floats and lighter items. Barn kept for most of it's life and real teak wood and brass fittings. Not a cheap boat at all, probably worth more now as it's vintage and well kept.

He's said things like that before and never follows through, and has been a notorious pack rat for sentimental items (The apple doesn't fall far from the tree there, for both him and I) but I have an inkling he's serious about it.

As far as my land hunt goes, the two properties I was most interested in went off market or are pending sale. Back to the drawing board. Grrr...

Goals for this week: Look at the saw when it gets warmer, grease the loader now that the grease might actually flow and survive the workweek.

Prayers for those ailing and recovering! Special prayers for Buppies and Holly. Dementia is a terrible disease that I would wish upon no one.
Stay safe out there y'all and stay warm! Enjoy the week!

Good Morning!!!! 48F @ 7:00AM back here in Yankee Hill. Sunny. High 68F. Winds N at 10 to 15 mph. Rain starts Friday lasting for the rest of the 10-day.

I asked the propane company to install a wet tap in the bottom of the 1000 gallon tank I purchased for this place, but it cost a pretty penny. Not sure I saved enough to pay for it refilling my own picnic bottles, but it's been hugely convenient being able to do so.

Nice smooth up here yesterday, once I got started. About an hour out I discovered I'd forgotten my wallet and had to go back for it. Still managed to arrive with enough daylight left to get the trailer backed up to the garage door and unhitched.

After breakfast I'll get power tool batteries charging and do a little cleaning, then start bucking firewood, loading it on what will probably be the last two pallets I'll get from this place. Somewhere in there I want to check the batteries in the F250 to see if the BatterySaver charger managed to restore them. They were cranking slower than they should on the last trip even though they're only a couple years old. Last thing I need when I go to sell the truck is to deal with dead batteries.

Hope everyone's week gets off to a great start!

Need to act upon it.

My bad experience, still dealing with it, my FIL was a pack rat. Now his kids are dealing with a lifetime of boats and cars some not titled at all. The stress is undeniable. If he had acted upon it, the sales, he would have benefited and his kids not be tormented by the bureaucracy involved in closing out his wishes.

Good luck, hope it works out for you all.

got the car washed, I think it sighed in contentment getting all that salt off it.
came home to email from Ford asst mgr, heater hose failed, not under warranty.
they are replacing both heater hoses.
now that makes me wonder about radiator hose
they said they saw nothing else wrong but would take out for test drive.
Boy I sure have zero confidence in them.
I thought heater hose was pretty tough stuff.

Popgadget, don't forget that coupon I gave you, it's worth a hundred bucks at shed place

40 degrees in sunshine, need to get outside for a bit
