14F sunny day mid 20's for high.
Outside chores done E muffin time.

Yesterday late afternoon plow clean 5" of snow,early evening attendant wife's small Christmas Eve get together and I felt like cat in room full of rocking chairs,nobody had tractor nor interest in wildlife it was long 4 hours.

Plans for today...slow putter day might clean snow off the roof since rain in the forecast other than that watch some football and feast.

55˚ heading to 65˚ with cloudy skies N wind becoming Easterly.

The neighbors that gave us the Australian Plant based cookbook were treated with three types of no bake cookies: peanut butter/chocolate and ginger/lime and chocolate/cranberry/coconut

The severe weather never materialized on Christmas Eve (SE of us got it) and the candlelight service was very good.

Today the 3 golf courses are closed for golfing but open for walking, which we will take advantage of.

All the kiddos come over at 9 so it looks like I will be making breakfast and bacon along with that ! Should be total chaos after that with unwrapping of all these gifts !.

Good Morning and Merry Christmas to all.
30° and overcast. Supposed to become partly cloudy with a high of 35 before the temp dips into the 20’s.

Yesterday started out with breakfast with the professor, then into the tractor plowing the driveway, then shoveling the walks and hard to get areas. This time my son was out there with the shovel getting most of that done while I was in the tractor.
Next was to clean out the fireplace and try to put a dent in the endless tufts of dog hair that Zoe leaves us. Fortunately, she doesn’t shed like this year round, but it’s impressive to say the least.
Did some more chores like repairing a fiberglass snow shovel handle by turning a Delrin insert and slathering it all with cyanoacrylate glue and the pressing it back together with a couple of #10 through bolts for good measure.
Then it was time to head out and deliver more baked goods.
That kept me occupied until about 3.
Once I got home it was back to the shop for some more chores, then start a fire and make dinner.

I don't know why this popped up but looks like you can now get one larger lithium battery to replace all six 8 volt
lead acid batteries in a traditional golf cart, for less money.
I looked at other higher power models at twice this cost but this looks like
"standard" power. Was thinking something Buckeye should investigate in about three years when those Trojan batteries in his
new to him golf cart start nearing retirement.

And if the drivetrain in Popgadget's utility cart ever dies, he can get the high performance lithium package
or maybe build something custom for his grandson. Quiet electric zipping around won't upset the alpacas

does make you wonder when this world will run out of lithium.
better invent something else.
lot of folks working on their version of the holy grail of storage batteries.

if I got the story right from my BIL, two Teslas locally crashed into each other and both caught on fire,
and fire company could not put it out for hours.
I think caution is the name of the game.
I leave all my cordless tool batteries out of the tool until I need them
on a metal shelf or concrete
things that can spontaneously combust, no matter how unlikely, deserve some care
