Good morning and Merry Christmas!
should be a nice sunny day with high of 38
had fun last night at inlaws but wore me out.
new baby fun and I got to hold him, he seemed fascinated with my glasses.
nice dinner and nice to see my 98 year old MIL.
going to slowly make myself a nice breakfast and open a few presents.
My sister sent me some piece of kitchen equipment, I can tell from size and shaking it.
She doesn't seem to remember I don't have room for anything else here but perhaps a motivation
to reorganize kitchen wall shelving. I'm guessing it's an air fryer. something healthy...
got a nice note from elderly neighbor across the street thanking me for inviting them over and the xmas gift.
Unfortunately, and I'm glad she was honest, neither one of them likes smoked fish. So my very fancy tins of gourmet smoked trout and salmon
were returned to me, and I swapped them for a box of locally made chocolate pretzels. Those were appreciated.
works for me.
I can understand not liking fairly strong tasting fish.
Pretty sure it's very healthy to eat and on a cracker, a little goes a long way.
my Father used to cook kippered herrings for Sunday breakfast once in a while, what a horrible smell that made.
kippered herrings, scrapple and bacon. No bland food at our house.
not very healthy either... though we had steamed vegetables every night, often from our own garden.
I think we have all gotten smarter about what we eat.
now off to enjoy a second cup of coffee with a yummy piece of Popgadget's apple nut loaf.
always say I'm going to freeze them but so good they disappear in a few days.
special Christmas wishes to those ailing in body and spirit, may the love of the day lift you up.
