Good morning!!!!

Good morning, the low is 20 and going to a high of 27°F. Wind NNW 5 mph. Mainly cloudy.

North Bay trip on for today. My ride gets here at 8:30, should be back by noon.

It looks like I will be plowing my driveway out before I go to the quacks tomorrow. Quack appointment at 11:15, ride gets here at 11. I'll get up about 5 and turn the block heater on for about an hour or so and start plowing around 7. This place will be cleared out by 9. I already have a good smooth base down. The first 2"er I ran the BB )> over the driveway and I did the same thing the day before yesterday. Depending on the depth of snow I will probably just use the bucket. The following snowfall as long as the temps stay below freezing I will spin the BB around (> and actually start cutting the snow off.

Drew, still chasing tail at your age? :ROFLMAO: I though Davy Crocket used coon skin hats?

Time to get on with my day.

Have a safe day all

Yes, a coon skin hat.
Wife’s cousins grandkid we visited in PA had a coon skin hanging, he wants to make a hat from it.

though if no power and no battery backup, why is it beeping?
little detective work needed here

I have never seen a smoke or CO detector that didn’t have a backup battery and beep when it was low. Many have 10 year lithium batteries, some do not have replaceable batteries, but I think that approval requires a battery.

Been a couple yrs since I replaced mine so don’t remember, but it might be powered from. Battery side of inverter.
good idea but no inverter
lights still glowed on autoleveler panel also, will be interesting when I check on it if anything is still lit.
if I turn the master power to off, supposed to be off, not partly off...

I think if you put five or six of those squirrel tails together you could make
yourself a fine scarf..and we sure have an abundance of squirrels.
losing their tail would mess up their balance

waiting for sun to melt frost on car
no reason to get to supermarket early, deli doesn't have a lot of stuff put out yet.
big difference in meat and fish departments of two local stores.
One is fully stocked with all lights on at 8am, open at 7am.
other one is still half asleep at 9am, sometimes cases unlit, not open for business as advertised

I don't have much to buy today, still eating leftover frozen food from rv trip.
need to buy tomatoes, usually makes a sandwich better.
have to make a ham something casserole this afternoon, maybe broccoli and cheese, use up all the
leftover Thanksgiving ham. I normally don't eat much ham, trying to avoid processed foods

Autoleveler may be powered by chassis battery. Disconnect negative cable from battery under hood.

20 outside this Am, heading to lower 40's. Running a little behind on all the morning chores. No reason, just slacking off.

Was working on Milk House bathroom door yesterday. Had a piece of wood over the bathroom frame that needed to come off. Unfortunate it was also wrapped in metal, and attached to the wood underneath and the concrete wall. A two foot strip of wood that must have had twenty nails in it. No idea as to what the purpose was. Maybe at one point it was an outside door entrance way. Who knows. Well in the process of removal I managed to scalp (not skin) two fingers over the joints. That brought the day to an end as the bleeding would just not stop. Some super glue and lots of pressure seemed to abate the issues. Ouch. Today I think I will just sand and paint the frame, and wait until I feel better to hang the door. I need to drill, once again, into concrete. I must have broken at least four or five concrete bits already. I have one left. I don't think it is the same mixtures as to what is on the market these days.

Daughter is up from Petersburg. Looking at furniture. Hope she takes another bedroom set back with her. She brought Sushi home last night so we feasted on that, from our favorite restaurant. Pay back for furniture. LOL.

Hope all have a great day. Be safe. Positive thoughts to those in need or ailing.

Good morning! 38˚F heading to the mid 60s. The central heater is turn on only an hour in the morning. It warms the house from 70 to 72˚. We are slowly getting climatized, the house is 70˚ this morning and does not feel cold anymore.

Backyard camera caught a ringtail strolling around and a family of 4 raccoons.
Hope to finish up the fire pit today.

Drew, I would not count on the squirrels tail growing back like lizards or alligators.

Good Morning
27° clear and a high of 39 forecast.

Yesterday I made some progress, got the Costco run completed, bolted the Diacro bender to the shop floor, got the KubVan inspected , did a bit of cleanup and finished the day with an odd fellows meeting.

Today will start with breakfast with the professor, then I hope to get the oil changed in the Carryall, KubVan and the Prius. That seems to be a task that just keeps getting kicked down the road, but today might be the day.

Also have a geothermal service call to do.

The talk of coonskin caps sent me to my closet-

Good Morning!!!! 41F @ 5:45AM. Morning fog, then mostly cloudy this afternoon. High 66F. Winds W at 5 to 10 mph.

I've had pretty good luck with Bosch concrete drills in their electric hammer drill, Mike.

Started working through Medicare Open Enrollment yesterday. Previous employer is still providing some benefits, but they're dropping some and changing providers for others. Call to the benefit manager outfit showed them to be as confused as I am. More lost time on the phone for today. What a mess.

good morning, cold and windy in the low twenties this morning

Used the new shovel to sift the coals out from the ashes and empty the ashes out of the stove. Started it up and burning good

The cardiologist DR moved to Hyannis Cape Cod. He was a great doctor and family friend. Sad to see him go. The fill in DR was OK and the results were good. The good cholesterol was in the upper range

D was supposed to start her new job yesterday but got the call to report to jury duty and was selected

Now that I have made progress on the van repairs I am taking it to the next step to also fix the diesel fired heater.
This heater is remote controlled and heats the cooling water in the engine and starts the heater blower

Morning all, 30 going up to 43 and sunny.
Eye Dr. appt went ok, no change which I guess is good.
Dog had her bath and looks like she's all puffed up :)

Got out the big ladder and started putting up the hooks for the front lights. Trying to make this the last year to use the big ladder.

Went by Core Creek Park on way home from Dr. Now looks like a wide walking path instead of a creek it's been so dry.

PopGadget/Paul so flying <100feet from our dwellings is not against the rules? They have an open field behind the house they could use for approach rather than shake my house and the one downhill of me. Well at least they don't come in very early/late, so far.

Will try and get more hooks up today moving the ladder a few feet at a time. Ordered more hooks to finish the job when I get to other side of front door, which is much, much lower.

Be well

28' ladder a bit heavy to get in place, not too bad to move around once up.

67°F and no rain.

Got a few hours mowing yesterday, until I somehow lost a clevis pin. That led to an interesting encounter at Tractor Supply. asked guy on floor where clevis pin was located. Blank look, asked what it was for. Told him, he replied they didn’t carry tractor parts. I reminded him name was Tractor Supply and searched on my own.
Refilled my diesel cans.
Nice quiet Happy Hour.
Sophie drove the Tundra for 1st time. Heavier foot that me but I didn’t comment.
Plan is to resume mowing this morning.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

PopGadget/Paul so flying late, so far.

That is essentially true, but generally the pilots will fly as neighborly as possible. Perhaps a conversation with the neighbor voicing your concerns passed on to the pilots would be a big help. Also keep in mind that they are going to want to approach into the wind. Our prevailing wind is out of the NW.

One other consideration, if diplomacy fails, is that in PA while you can land anywhere with the property owner’s permission, using unlicensed landing sites is limited to “occasional use”.
Feel free to reach out off line if you need any more info or guidance.

Good Afternoon,
Ct, 22 to start going to 37 ! Sorry for late check in, I had the rescheduled urologist appointment this morning ! They said my bladder was mostly empty after the pee test. So I guess that’s good news !

After appointment I went to HD, and bought a deep throated wood clamp for my rocker project! Also bought 4 bags of softener salt, which are still in the back of the my PU ! They need to be moved to the basement!

Sunny today so will try doing some outside yard cleaning! Kathleen’s car needs a quick wash since we went to Vt in her car !

Hope all have a blessed Tuesday!🙏

I am back from North Bay. Nothing unusual about the trip.

The guy that took us has a Subaru and the seats are like sitting on a 2x12. Hard as a rock. Sure didn't stop me from having a nap on the way back south. The highway was bare and mostly dry.
