Ron, do you leave the aerator on all winter? Maybe turn it up so it blows more air?

I don't think I will be doing much of anything today.

Good Morning to all who celebrate! 24 here this morning heading going to a high of 39. Sunny and cold.

The house went from full to empty in 72 hours. Dad went hunting and proceeded to miss two bucks on two days. Mom went on her Post-Thanksgiving Winddown Vacation with her girlfriends. Sister and her husband took the baby home. Now down to just me and the dog. Another week, another trip to another location for work. sigh.
Just trying to get this **** project done so I never have to think about phones again.

Campground friend is talking about removing some trees, I'm sure I'll be tapped for that at some point. He claims he doesn't want to do it when it's cold, but spring is now a long way away.

When we were logging firewood, my friend kept an eye on an enormous dead tulip poplar, arrow straight. He's been considering a sawmill for some time, I think this might push him over the edge.

Good Morning
21° this morning. Sunny, and a high of 36 forecast. A lot like yesterday.

Speaking of yesterday, it was spent moving stuff from the closets in the house to the old folks home, I found some treasure, but mostly it was realizing that I’d never wear or touch the item at hand in the future and it needed to move on.

I made a batch of sausage stuffing to take to my daughter’s for dinner, and a few other kitchen tasks,like knife sharpening while I was at it.
I needed something to hang a small ring on a closet rod, and went off to TSC to see what they had. Basically struck out, so came home and put the Diacro bender to work.

Worked great, but reminded me that when I moved the bender, I never anchored it to the shop floor, it’s a good thing it was only 5/16” rod. So I guess today I’ll be drilling the concrete and setting anchors.
Looks like a Costco run is in the near future as well. I also need to continue to make progress on moving my stuff out of the house. I’m thinking I should also stockpile some firewood in the garage, as the woodshed is probably 1/4 mile away, and not accessible by carryall in the snow or mud. I didn’t have a fireplace or wood stove in the house, I was all about efficiency when I build it. So the woodshed is at my son’s (the original farmhouse) as he has a fireplace and outdoor fire pit. All the wood that we would harvest got stacked down there. There is plenty of it, dry and seasoned, just not conveniently located for me.

I’m thinking about you, Ted and Dona and hoping for a good outcome.

16F clear sky low 30's for high.

Slept in this morning little over an hour outside chores done been to town for critter food,clean wood furnace...making up for lost time.

Plans for today...fill Mrs. kindling barrel again,wheel barrow wood in basement than see what rest of day offers.

Morning all, 28 going up to 41 and sunny.
Finally seem to be over this cold....

did take dog for a long , cold walk last night. She was happy.

Son starts new job today.

I finished fixing some ornaments, replacing power supplies.
Bought string lights to restring a star whose bulbs burned out with LEDs. hoping 40 feet will be enough.

Still need to get out ladder and place hooks for front lights. and give the dog a bath, she reeks.

Eye dr. appointment later to see if eyes are getting better or not.

Aerator is set as high as it can go. Pond has never frozen solid in the 21 years it has been there. Fish have always made to into the next spring.

66°F and no rain

Successful day at not doing much physically yesterday. More a fiscally active day. Made a ew Cyber Monday purchases. Found some interesting lights for my bathroom redo and have them on order.

Granddaughter says she isn’t registering for next semester of college. Not surprised. Will be interesting how it shakes out.

Today looks like a start on next round of mowing, just as too many are being inundated with the white stuff.

Should have Happy Hour in town this afternoon.

now I'm really sorry some of you have snowman envy...and glad they allow them here.
seems the kids down the road really liked mine:
My kids are thankful for your holiday cheer, and the biggest snowman they have ever seen.
Its the highlight of going anywhere on Sugan road.

everything went fine this morning dropping off rv, except for the beep.
once a minute something beeps, even with main power turned off. Have no idea where it is coming from, took all
the dash electronics out of there, and it still beeped.
Will need to go back and try to diagnose at some point

We just got an update on why we had to go second choice for dinner Friday night.

Seems someone got confused and drove into the restaurant.

So the whole front of the place is trashed.

Seems to happen in that shopping center every few months.

Someone drove into the makeup place earlier in the year and took out the counters and luckily only minor injuries.

Hope no one got hurt in this one.
