Good morning! 62˚F heading to 85˚ by noon, clear skies.
We are ready for the mega garage sale where 150 households sell their un-needed/downsized items. We have a bench and two lamps in the neighbors spot and will man it while they shop. Perfect weather so there will be a big crowd (thousands). The parking lot fills up fast and we usually have to park a few blocks away on a neighborhood street. The sale only last 4 hours and the last hour most thing are 1/2 price. Goodwill and the Salvation Army have their large trailers in the parking lot so no one has to take back home their unsold items.

Good Morning
It’s 60° and clear, forecast to stay that way as the temp rises to 75.

Yesterday was productive. Cedar is finished, walk and patio are all formed and prepped for Monday’s pour. They still need the rebar placed, that will happen Monday morning.

There is also a small pad at the kitchen door that is ready to pour as well. The walk excavation stayed pretty tidy, the excavator dumped its spoils into the loader bucket which hauled it around to the backfill pile.

I did get to hook up the Progressive mower and get the open areas mowed, hopefully I’ll do the trimming with the Lazer today.

Rehearsal and prep for today’s gig went well, had a last minute switch to a substitute drummer, our regular drummer should be there today. But we got a basic sound check that let the mix engineer get approximate settings to save time at the winery today.

On the lighter side, my buddy with the sawmill, added some accessory google eyes to his excavator, they look great, and got a big seal of approval from my grandson.

good morning, 57 going to 73

Changed oil and filter on the van yesterday

Two outside doors are stuck in the log house section. I had leveled the beams in the basement. Not sure if there was more settlement in the basement beams or some wall log settlement.

I love that bucket.
just looks like a giant PacMan about ready to take a bite
perhaps it will start a trend
do any of you Texans have horns on your tractor hood?
nice set of magnet mounts you are all ready for the wide open spaces
just take them off in the woods....
assuming your hood is metal, ??

I still have the new rear view camera to get operational.
Hoping Mostly might fiddle with it with me.
At this site here, my ebike almost crunched into a fence in back, reminded me to get this done.
solar powered, wireless, just needs monitor activated in front, not going to mount it, can lay it flat on my giant armrest and pick it up if I need to.
apropos of no steel on back of rv, there was none. Only on the frame of the ebike holder. So clank on it went and I secured it with a zip tie. Still there today. Needs improvement, install still sketchy. Not enough magnet to metal contact.
likely need a small steel plate fabbed and then attached with two zip ties.
I'll take a pic later.

have to mount camera down low, though if I were going to trouble of fabbing a metal bracket for it, I'd likely put it up higher on the roof ladder. It has a 2x3 solar panel on top that adjusts for tilt.
Currently three feet off the ground. But that's where that post was in Michigan that bit me, in my blind spot of sorts. More like I was just blind...

I would sure like one with a lidar dinger on it.
That's the other name for your wife saying "c'mon back" as she stands back there.
me, I need a lidar dinger. They make stuff for garage parking, might have fun with this.

Frits, that's the kind of support my lower back needs...

Good Morning,
Ct, 54 to start going to 73 ! Another beautiful fall day although a bit warm for this time of year !

Paul, I love the eyes on the excavator! Very cool ! Walkway looks very nice also ! Should be outstanding when completed!

Drew, 4 am is definitely too early ! Good luck with dropping weight for your treat ! 😉

We are taking our youngest sons kids to the children museum today so they can pack for their trip to Aruba tomorrow!

Better fillet going! Have a great day ! 🙏

made stupid mistake of keeping street water on overnight with no regulator. Left my ten dollar brass one on last post...sigh. Was down in a pit and I didn't see it. But I have my original with a gauge I dug out that is marginal but I think still works. The gauge is all beat up, not sure it works.

so 70 psi or so all night on my terrible plumbing just aggravated the existing leak and one wet towel later, another dry one went in its place. It's just fresh water and doesn't smell at all but not good for rv. So as soon as light out going out to turn off water and run on internal tank water. Again.

you know the expression a silk purse from a cow's ear?
that would be my rv plumbing transforming into Popgadgets gleaming wall of plumbing copper.
that would be more than cool.

Morning all, 66 going to 77 and sunny.
Good day in the city yesterday, but long.
Started out downtown by Washington square park and NYU.

When I was very young every year the American Water Color Society had their big sidewalk sale right north of the park. Fond memories of hanging out with my GF while he showed his paintings.

Valerie Harper bought quite a few and she even sat on the step with me, I was about 4 and chatted for a while.

The mews was right behind where his stall was, and now these old, small houses are owned and preserved by NYU language school. Not many of the smaller older side streets are still around, think this one and the stuyvesant ones are the only blocks like this in NYC now.

Trip to McSorleys for a brew, oldest continuously open bar in NYC (1854). Only bar I've been thrown out of three times, though yesterday I behaved.

On to Hunter college and then to Eli's bakery, another famous spot so the wife and kid could get some cookies. Eli's was on our way home when we lived on the upper East side many years ago.

be well,
