It's aboot 4am.
Can't sleep.
Wimpy thunderstorm going on. No real cool thunderbolts. Just distant flashes.
On and off sprinkles.
Aboot 72-74F over night so AC is on.
No real plans for the day. Always something to putter on, just no drive.
Debating a hot milk.
Heck with it, I'll have a nap later during the day.

Coffee is done brewing. 70° with mostly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 80° with plenty of sun. Got grass mowed yesterday. It was already hot when I finished at 1:00. Did a some cleanup of mowers and got back in house out of heat. Today is going to be cooler. I need to conserve energy today.

up too early, and not a great night
at 1:05am BANG BANG BANG on rv door
I groggily get up and find the Loves employee with a switchboard
outside saying I was in someone else's spot. Tough, you put me there.
He agreed totally and put the guy in the next spot.
never again Loves.

these spots apparently are for folks still driving into the night and you can get in here all night long. Otherwise it's a noisy parking lot

and the question of the hour is
what time is it?
The time zone line is about ten mile West of here it seems, so St Louis
isn't 5:28am it's 4:28am. I can't get there before noon so looks like a slow start to morning.

maybe I'll wash the bugs off the front. The top brow has really accumulated them and I like a clean machine. Not on this trip, most places forbid washing. Somehow I don't think Loves has that restriction and frankly I don't care. Let them ban me from all Loves rv stops...the truck noise and the drivers jake braking everywhere is enough to keep me away.

Don I hope you feel good today and continue to heal.
I need to email PJ and see if he wants to cancel. Maybe it will be good to
get away...

50° now highs in the upper 70’s and partly cloudy today. Winds S 5-10 mph, DP’s back into the low 60’s.

Productive day yesterday, mowing and most of the trimming done, easy and pleasant with low temps, humidity and a nice breeze.

Usual dump run this morning and not sure what else for today.

good morning! 72 heading to 90 partly cloudy, 10% chance of rain - % will increase a each day with Tuesday having a 50% chance.

still typing with one hand as arm is still in protection mode in a padded sling.

the surgery spinal block is completely gone, no more numb thumb, woke up with pain at 3am took a pill, pain subsided slowly over the next hour, so I got up early. will have to take full dosage at night to get sleep. I'll try to take half dose during day time to see if it is tolerable. I sleep in our bed with my shoulder on a body pillow on my surgical side, seems to work ok. the body pillow keeps me from rolling on my side.

next PT is Monday, they work on Labor Day. She gave me homework to do three times a day,
I can take off the big bandage today and get the surgical site a little wet so showering will be easier.
recovery priority each day, calendar is cleared for PT which I have already scheduled for September, out-patient starting the 16th. no stitches or staples to be removed surgeon used dissolvable stitches inside and steri strips outside to close.

Enough of shoulder talk back to tractors and mowers and RV travels.

59F cloudy mid 70's for high,rain arriving after sunset.

Outside chores done E muffin time.
Around 9pm last night heard wind chime bur there was no wind Boo was standing kept lightly hit chimes...guess music does smooth the beast.
Plans for today...4 hours at part store,afternoon need to sharpen mower blades give rider good cleaning,one section of the lawn near road has lot fallen leaves pine cones so some backpack blower time.
