Oh, homeowners insurance jumping 33%.

Was feeding friends fish while they are away. Hate leaving their drive, main road with 0 sight distance. Turn everything off, window down, wait till no car sounds. Pull out and here comes a car close from the left. I floored it. Friggin electric car almost got me.

BEF, cats are characters, that is for sure. While I was cutting the grass I found a carcass from a small animal that one of the cats murdered. So far I haven't found any bird remains, so they must have found a good hiding place.
I only turn my keyboard on when I am going to type something.

LS, have you thought about changing the heads? Or putting in helicoils in the boogered up plug holes?
That would be last resort. It's almost impossible to gain access. A few videos have shown removing the entire front clip to have enough room to work.
If it pukes a plug, then maybe a helicoil. Same issue with gaining access depending on which plug.

It's a 2003, 290k on the meter. I'm not going to do it! Next major issue and it might get a new long block, $3500 and basically done.

I know this might be seen as a stupid question but, do you own a firearm?

Good Evening,
Ron thanks for the detailed explanation! Looks like you have it under control ! I’m thinking you meant .06 and not .6 ! Even in the model shop I believe I was limited to .187 thick.

Didn’t get as much done as I was hoping. It was kind of chilly this morning so I went to turn on my Dovre DV-750 LP stove on for a couple of minutes to take the chill off, and it wouldn’t start ! So I fiddled with that for about an hour and a half. Finally got it going but I’m guessing the gas valve was sticking and I haven’t cleaned it for 2 years so I guess it’s due !

Then I had a contractor up here a couple of weeks ago to give me an estimate on re shingle our porch roof and install James Harding siding on the peak on the front of the house. My wife doesn’t want me on the roof anymore, even though I know I can do it ! Anyways, materials are about $1100 and labor is going to be about $3400, that’s why I normally do these jobs myself! That cleaned out the checking account !!
But it will be done, and I won’t worry about it again in my lifetime!

Plowhog, very cool car ! That thing must be fun !

Bill, my cat Ginty won’t be around much longer, I’m sure I will really miss him also !

Wanted to stay until Thursday but work wants me Thursday, so heading out tomorrow! 😒

spent all morning chasing down bills from my son's accident back in early april. Between insurance and hospital billing, they make it so confusing. It looks like son got double billed for CT scans. Insurance is sending it all back to get looked at again, apparently some billed as out of network when it should be in network, and the double billing question from Hospital and a radiology group. Then trying to find where my Auto insurance sent a payment for some of it. they claim it went to hospital, hospital has no record of it. I googled the outfit that Auto Insurance Co thinks was the hospital, looks like a 3rd party DR group of some kind. Don't know who that is, and how it got billed to the insurance. Sure didn't go thru my health insurance. Big mystery now in the hands of my auto insurance.
My health ins. did pay for the ambulance bill finally, that was a biggie also. Still can't believe they drove right by the closest ER and took him further away. On the county website it says they bill mileage to the CLOSEST hospital, yet they billed to the 3rd furthest.......
But on the other hand, I'm glad son wasn't hurt that bad, it could have turned out much worse...

good leftover hamburger from last night for lunch.

I’m surely not as organized as you, Dennis, but one of the smartest things I did after Sophie’s was start a loose leaf binder of every bill, invoice, payment, etc. filled one of those 3 inch ones.

When it came time for a final settlement, they sent Sophie’s attorney their settlement request along with request for me to verify their numbers were correct. Attorney said I wasn’t obligated and I declined. He did share their list with me. When said and done we both took pleasure that they shorted themselves almost $30k. One of life’s little pleasures.

Sad day. Myla's mom passed away last night. She was a great lady, mother-in-law, grandma to our boys.
Oh my I'm sorry Billy. Prayers and condolences for Myla and your family. I'm glad she got to spend a bit of time with her over the last few months.

Good morning everyone,
57° now highs around 80° and mostly sunny. Winds NW 5-10 mph, dew points in the mid/upper 50’s today.

Yesterday temps never got above 70° and a nice breeze, mowing was very pleasant!
I'm headed that way right now!

The red Panterra
I have actually ridden in a red Pantera back around 1985ish. The owner had put a nice nitrous oxide kit on it, but we didn't test that out. We just drove around town and he had to watch the temp gage the whole time. He had added some improved radiators on it in the front, with some 12v fans or something...It would overheat in Texas in the city.

Inspected the mower after hitting the rock and it survived with just a few chips on the blades. The ZD331 is more like a tank and takes a lot of abuse.
That is not the preferred method to break in a new gear box. Glad everything seems OK. You have a beautiful place.
