Good morning!!!!

Coffee is done brewing. 65° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 86° with sunny skies. PT went good yesterday. Rest of the day was mostly conserve energy. Did some garden pond watching. The small fish I bought a couple weeks ago are growing fast. They follow larger fish around the pond. Also saw 3 other midsize fish. Must be from the larger fish breeding.
Going to be another conserve energy day after I grease the 2 mowers. Rain and warmth has me needing to mow grass every 4 to 5 days. Everything is very bright green.

Everyone stay well and safe.

Good Morning All.

Good morning all,
72° now highs in the upper 80’s and cloudy today. Winds WSW 5-10 mph, dew points low to mid 70’s again. Had some boomers on radar awhile ago but broke up and went around us, we did get 0.06” rain.

Not much accomplished yesterday, just some puttering around in the garden.

Usual dump run this morning, water the garden then just try to stay cool. Need to pick up a few cattle panels at TSC for a project but will probably wait until next week. (hate shopping on weekends)

Enjoy your day everyone
Stay safe and healthy

good morning all
had to look up Miracle Whip ingredients
half the calories and fat of mayo, but made with less healthy ingredients
came out during Depression as cheaper alternative to mayo.
I've always been a Hellmans Light guy, don't use very much, just on occasional sandwich.
Am trying to use more mustard and a tomato for sandwich instead.

more thunderstorms this afternoon and summer hot.
This morning I go to drugstore and get a Wegovy shot.
Never given myself a shot before, this should be interesting.
Drugstore said since I was a low dose he would compound for 200 a month, vs 785 for insurance
paid oem. Sounds like a better deal to me.

I got the nicest thank you note in calligraphy from one neighbor for veggies left at door, so they were the
ones who just got a nice batch of green beans from me. I'm surprised the bush beans keep coming in, real game of
hide and seek trying to pick them.

my honey dew melon that was growing nicely honey went. Gone.
I wonder what critter ate it, no sign of damage to plant, just taken and hauled away.
Bummer. Thank goodness I've had my fill of melons lately.

hope you all have a nice weekend.

Morning all!
73 going to 84 today with partly cloudy skies. i know I shouldn't complain as this is better than a drought but! All this rain is getting to me. Here's the forecast for the future!
weekahead.jpg

Someone asked my favorite finish on the wood projects. I really don't have one. My go to quick and done is walnut oil with bee's wax.
Breakfast celebration was great! Apartment painting is looking good! Going out to pick out window blinds and a ceiling fan today.
Made a gift for an upcoming summer outing we are going to. It has a cowboy theme so I thought making this miniture hat would be appropriate.
Coffee time!!
Hope everyone stays safe and healthy!

Good morning, the low is 67 and going to a high of 86°F. Wind WSW 3 mph. 40% chance of showers.
Tomorrow is supposed to be the last 'hot' day for a spell. We'll see.

Today is another energy conservation day. Anything I need to do can wait until it is cooler outside.

Have a safe day all

Good morning, 73 going to 87 today with essentially no rain. Fizzled out a few times after some starts and stops.

Watering is on the agenda today. May start on the mower gear box replacement

I thought making this miniture hat would be appropriate.
Very creative and looks great. Quite impressive ....

65F going to 85F with a scattered thunderstorm in the forecast. I read about rain elsewhere ... but on the West Coast once the rain stops after Spring it's pretty much done until Fall. Everything is now solid brown except what is irrigated.

Everyone have a great day !!!

Good morning! 74˚F heading to the upper 90s. Strange wind day, every hour the wind is a different direction but a welcomed 25% chance of rain around 5pm. Got 2nd date tree planted, might try for #3 today. Evening water temp was 90˚ but it cools down to 85˚ by morning.

Good morning
75° and only gonna make to the upper 80’s with a chance of thunderstorms this afternoon.

Yesterday the storms actually materialized, we got over 1/2” of rain in total.

Made great progress on the old folks home, the soffit and facia work is done, the ductwork is just about complete. We left a large return duct off so the spray foam contractor has easier access. It came out pretty nice, it’s all solid ducts with no flex. I’ll get some pictures later today. I’m continually walking around trying to think of the details that need to be in place before foam insulation. Because the walls will be full of foam, any additional mechanicals are pretty much impossible after the drywall is up.
This morning, I need to go out and get some material to connect the bathroom vent to the roof outlet, and plan out the location of the built in speakers and where the AV equipment will go. Wife needs to be involved in that discussion, and she is at a farmers market now.

   / Good morning!!!! #194,434
I just checked my MAX ticket for last nights' draw. I got a free ticket for whichever draw I want for one year from Friday August 2/24. I guess I wouldn't have won the free ticket if I hadn't pissed away $15.oo on the original ticket.

   / Good morning!!!! #194,435
plan out the location of the built in speakers
couple of 36" subs will have those alpaca nodding along, use storage area upstairs
as a giant speaker port. ;)

went up to local lumber yard and bought a 50 pound bag of polymeric sand to do front walkway.
Somewhat of a waste because frost heaves it every year.
seemed expensive at 45 bucks but that seems to be what it costs after looking online at Lowes.

was hoping to do that sidewalk repair today but not with heavy storms coming in. Needs a couple hours to
dry and I'm not feeling lucky

time to take that eufy camera system out of boxes and at least get it charging.
hoping a young friend will come over tomorrow and help me get it set up.

69F with rumbles of thunder and light rain @ 11:45, calling for a high of 81F for the day.

LWS reports another 1.26" since midnight ... and an area Flash Flood Warning has been issued.

That's in addition to the 2.87" we got on Thursday/Friday ...

Cut down weeds yesterday in front of hydrangeas, day lilies, and hosta on north side of garage in preparation for transplanting all those.

Put pallet forks on and hauled 3 sections of trunk up to the wood lot, also chained up one of the two tops that was about 30' long and drug that up to the brush pile.

Then got shrub bucket put on and dug out one clump of hosta and a clump of Stella D'Oro's at the southeast corner of the house.

There are at least 3 more clumps of hosta remaining in that spot that still have to be dug out.

Refilled Water Buffalo.

More weeds cut down and raked up along with leaves and debris, a couple of bucketloads worth hauled up to the compost pile.

The dug up clump of hosta got split into 7 new starts - got those planted, mulched, and watered in - in the planting bed east of the garden.

Then The Woman and I covered them with netting so the four-legged pests couldn't pull them out of the ground before they had a chance to root.

Woman made stuffed peppers which were very tasty.

Got new CR1632 lithium battery that The Woman picked up for me installed in the digital calipers.

Agenda for today:

Dole out some meds for this coming week.

Schedule a bill for payment.

See about transferring prescriptions to new pharmacy due to Rite Aid shutting down here.

Then probably head up to the shop and do some clean up there.

Maybe a haircut later.

Rainfall now up to 1.56" since midnight.

Hope everyone is having a decent Saturday ... (y)

85 deg
good breakfast with most of the crew.
picked up another half bushel of Red Haven peaches, surprised they still had them. Smaller than last ones, but only $20 instead of $30.
Wife made peach pie yesterday, is very good.

eufy camera working good so far. I like that it only flag vehicles and people. It doesn't pick up snagglepuss though, so not a good cat camera.
so far the tire plug is holding.

70°F and .2 inches rain. Not really rain, more like a heavy mist that required intermittent wipers.

Sophie cleared for surgery Monday I think her Dr is excited about it. Hopefully the conclusion she’s been working toward.

We did treat ourselves to Baskin Robbins before coming home. Pleasantly surprising an early delivery from Amazon. Still 10 days but tracking was showing end of next week.

Meeting up with Sophie’s brother and SO for lunch. Boy this has been a week of eating.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

The thunderstorm is here and lasting rest of day according to forecast. I guess starting to water must have helped. Hope we will get some rain

Started to take the gearbox off but running into a snag. The splined collar on the shaft under the deck has to come off in order to pull up the old gear box and it is stuck. Put the puller on it and moved it some but the puller slid off. Changed puller to one where the legs are held in position with a cross screws so they don't spread wider and slide off. Checked the parts diagram to make sure there was not something holding it. It is galled on the shaft I believe and more force is needed to pull it off. Not really any alternative except apply more force. Will go up to the barn and work on it later today.

If the old gearbox is scrap, how about cutting the shaft off with a torch, WizWheel, or plasma cutter? And dealing with the collar once it’s off the mower deck?
