Well, on the wifes car I got the drivers side switches working again and sealed off with silicone the open door mirror pivot that caused the issue due to the mirror being knocked off. Fold back mirrors do not like hitting garbage cans sticking out in the road. That upward hit certainly made a mess.
approx 3/4 inch hole, held on by a plastic gear (well, used to be). Need to figure out how to reattach so it stays on at speed, doesn't bounce around and at lease allows for some adjustment.
What could hold 2 pieces together where the only connection is now a metal sleeve that the mirror fits on.
Was thinking something that expands under pressure, since under the sleeve is only a plastic piece covering the mirror housing bottom.
It's somewhere around 600 (aftermarket)-800 (OEM) for a replacement of the part that attaches to the car.
Then I would need to take apart the door in order to get to the 3 screws that hold the mirror on. Sure it would be close to 1200 to have someone do it. Just need to get it somewhat functional.

Any ideas?
are there any youtube videos on this?
look at a schematic if you can and see if any missing parts
I wonder if something flew off when it got hit
if two cars meet on a local narrow road on trash day, it can be
quite an obstacle course. Nothing like a good steel chrome bumper on a truck
to give a trash can a bunt. On a car, not designed to hit anything.
never got any rain and we could have used some to wash the pollen down.
80 today, 86 tomorrow.
tomorrow is track and field day for my little private school and it starts off by the board members
cooking pancakes for all the kids. We have a lot of fun with four griddles going. Chocolate chips and/or blueberries are added
to most. So I have to be there at 7am tomorrow.
I should be done by 9am and want to go to local nursery on way home for some new hanging plants.
my early pansies are not doing well in this heat. Plus they were planted in fake soil that requires watering every day.
the heavier the plant the better, more real dirt in it.
just chilling out. Did all my laundry, so no nagging to do's.
I have leftover halibut and rice I'm about to get into.
have been very thirsty, seems like I'm always drinking but reality is I'm drinking what I need.
my sister turned me on to drinking coconut water, which I do cut 50/50 with no sugar added fruit juice.
supposed to have lots of electrolytes.
I think I posted this before but I really like the van conversion this older couple had.
It didn't have side steps and she had quite a pull up to get into the thing. I'm surprised they don't have folding steps
or at least a plain step outside.
