Dennis seems getting a Dr appointment due to a cancellation is getting to be the way to avoid long waits. Both my cataract surgeries were that way. My dental next week is that way while Sophie got a late May appointment for filling. Same office.

As for online bill payment, not only the convenience factor, but I like that with autopay there is no forgetting.

Good (Friday) morning. Overnight Low of 6.3C and it's presently 20.4C, fairly calm and clear.

'Star picket' task, with yellow 'safety' caps, accomplished yesterday.

I noticed this morning that the agisted horses had finished all of their hay, so a paddock transfer is in order for later this arvo.

The Parish Council meeting has been shifted to next Friday due to our Minister testing positive to covid... so I'll need to pay the plumber's invoice instead of submitting it to our Treasurer.

I'm off to Ross tomorrow, for a meeting, fairly early in the morning so I may be 'reporting in' later on.

That's about it, take care all.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 42° with rain this morning. Heading to 48° with continued rain. 1.13" of rain since this event started. Grocery shopping went good. Did put laundry away when I got back. Some house cleaning got done. Then conserved energy rest of the day. Went to neighbors to celebrate his 40th Birthday. Today will back in the shop to do small projects.

good morning all
surprisingly warm this morning, about 64 which will be the high of the day, with temps dropping into 40's tonight.
.65 rain so far, some showers continuing this morning.

I'm off to pick up school board friend and we are off to breakfast together.
local place has a ground lamb egg sandwich I had last time which I sure want again.

Mostly, cool International truck. 1959 or 1960, awesome patina, truck is worth a lot more now than then
they weren't all that powerful but surprisingly weighed only 3600 pounds new. that's like a compact car today.

Plans for today...4 hours at part store, going to rain all day so outside work put on hold so I'll putter.

Enjoy your day all.

El Nino is apparently turning into La Nina, representing a periodic cooling of waters in Pacific
expected result is warmer weather for central and Eastern US.
this is good news for some South American cities that are running out of water, apparently La Nina
brings them wetter weather.

the real question is whether La Nina will bring Scootr and Ted any more rain
or will it get even drier

60 outside right now, may head to 65 for today. Rain passing through right now.

Not much on the agenda today, or the weekend. Probably yard work and mowing when it dries up in the next day or so. And...the dreaded Milk House project.

Daughter made it to Glacier. Unfortunate camp ground hookups are not available yet for employees. Under construction still. She may have to get a generator. She left hers here. They are telling her two weeks, maybe. The disappointment came through big time yesterday. Her boss apologized. Not a good start to the relationship. I told her it will work out. Camping is not glamping....

Hope all have a great day. Be safe.

Good morning! 46˚F but with clear skies and a S wind it will be in the mid 80s this afternoon.

Got the lantanas planted yesterday so maybe the lawn today. PT today and H&F cards to-night with neighbors.

BEF hope your Dads eye procedure is successful.

   / Good morning!!!! #188,794
62 going up to 63 and rain.
Had about 1" yesterday, lawn cut.
Initial dashcam install, will do more to hide wire this weekend.
Ordered Pool supplies.
Did some food/veggie shopping.

Pear trees are blooming. Might need to spray this year as had some kind of leaf spot last year and no pears.

Need another Peach tree to replace the one that fell over last year. Down from 3 to 1.

Many other bushes flowering.

BEF - hope Dad's surgery goes well, how is your son doing, back driving soon?

Passed an accident yesterday, not much damage to the suv that went off roading over a berm for some reason, but ALL the air bags deployed, that's going to be an expensive accident, even with little actual metal damage.

Be well,

like I said the unit is running fine just no control !
Sounds like my marriage ha ha.

Should hit 70F and sunny in Nevada. I'm heading back there today over Donner Pass but another foot of snow is expected at the summit this weekend. Good year for water!

Spent yesterday bucking logs and debris and putting it on burn pile. This morning the body is reminding me how much activity I did not do over the winter-- time to get back in the groove again.

Have a great day-- Ron very nice pix of duck and squirrel.

friend of mine said his son was very happy with this remote propane monitor for his mountain cabin
so I ordered the two pack. One for tank in rv and other for propane tank for home gen. Two that are out of sight
but very important.
not overly worried about running out on the barbecue. I always have spares here and I try to keep them full.

Good morning, the low is 56 and going to a high of 57°F. Wind E 15 gusting to 22 mph. Rain at times heavy.

I'm back from 'down south', sunny on Tuesday and Wednesday (had a nap during one of the boring presentations that I have heard 38 times over the past 38 years). Pissed down rain on Thursday and had a nap then, too. Chinese food buffet was good Tues. and Wed. Didn't have it on Thursday, had Wendys instead. I like their spicy chicken sandwiches.
Uneventful ride home. Ran mostly 10 over the limit except for 'in towns'. Dropped into the towing service/garage I use and paid them 100 bux to pick up the oil tank and set up an appointment to swap snow tires for the summers and change oil and recharge A/C. Picked up the 20 ounces of silver I ordered last week.

After I got my teeth out I used a rather unconventional method (read illegal) to toughen up my gums. It worked, by the end of the first month I was eating pizza and then the end of the second month I was eating the crust, too.
Up here in the '70s they were prescribing Darvon "N" compound (a powerful pain killer) for pain and I used 3 of 30 day scripts in 60 days + lots of hash and whiskey/beer or wine. It all worked, but like I said, illegal, then. Not now.

Have a safe day all

Good Morning!!!! 51F @ 8:30AM Cloudy skies early, followed by partial clearing. High 67F. Winds SSW at 10 to 20 mph.
Looks like rain, and if so, I'll head north again on Sunday to get a jump on the week.

Maybe your daughter's new boss would reimburse her for a generator rental for a couple weeks, Mike. Wouldn't hurt to ask since it's his responsibility to provide reasonable shelter for his employees.

Yesterday's SpaceX launch went off at the beginning of the window, and I caught a live stream as soon as I heard it. Interesting how the booster steers its way back using some fins at the top, then decelerates with a blast at the very end. Didn't hear the sonic boom until after it had landed, which was another surprise.

Monkeyed with the little spot welder again yesterday, and came to the conclusion there's just not enough battery behind it. Next week I'll give it a try with a car battery up north.

Got tired of not being able to see what I was doing, so I rigged up four @ 4' LED light fixtures over the workbench and bike lift yesterday. Real quick and dirty, just poked a couple dry wall screws into the rafters to hold 'em up then plugged the first one into an existing outlet box. Then daisy chained the other three to the first one, took maybe all of half an hour. Should have done it months ago...

Got the DR mower back out and gave it a pressure wash. Looks almost brand new now. Having trouble finding out what it's worth, though, as I'm not finding many ads offering them for sale. I bought it in 2010, so it's at least that old. Are the new ones better than the vintage one I have here?

Snuck in a dip in the hot tub at the end of the day. The jets in that thing can really dish out a pounding if you're not careful where you sit...🤣

Back on the zebra bike this morning to try to figure out why it's not charging. I have a new alternator rotor for it, but I want to test each component in the system to make sure I'm not missing anything.

TGIF gang!
