Like others have said. As we get older loosing family and friends seems to be a common thing. I have hard time dealing with this. Yesterday’s get together was hosted by a neighbor who lost her husband 3 years ago. Every year since his passing she has done the get together on day he died. No tears. Just a good time to enjoy each other’s company. Her husband would approve.

Great attitude, Ron. Unfortunately, passing is just another part of life. A few years back we were scheduled to host a neighborhood gathering. A former neighbor passed very unexpectedly just days before. I got several call, people expecting we would cancel. My response, Heck no, Jim would be honored we take the opportunity to raise a glass in his memory.

Funny that there is a restaurant in New Braunfels named Huisache. I always thought bad indigestion must occur after a meal there but the food was actually good.

Busy day mostly leave control 2/3 done do rest tomorrow,also mow the side field for the last time this year.

Plans until my head hits the pillow,share recliner and bowl ice cream what no brainer tv program...dinner ready gotta scoot.

every time I go back to Washington NC my neighbors greet me with
Hey instead of Hi.
We were always taught hay was for horses. Any of you told that?
I think it's a Southern thing to say hey versus hi.

"Hey" has always been an informal greeting around here, and in spite of being "southern" Illinois, we are definitely not Southern.

In the real South, "Hey" is used to get attention and "Hi" is a greeting. That must be an Eastern coast thing.
