good morning all
another drop dead beautiful Fall day

wow, great leaf pics guys

wondered if I could finish before Ron arrived, nope, he beat me.
Two of us get to the coffee pot too early...

foodshopping this morning, buy another powerball ticket :)rolleyes:)
then home to mow

David, those pics show a nice improvement. I know Sophie thinks you can't get any
more handsome, but good job!

big amazon delivery today plus trucker called and said they would have my rv sofa delivered on Wednesday.
have to get help with that, no way I can do that myself. Thankfully I think they come apart in pieces to get through 24 inch door.

chopped up all my green peppers last night, put them away. Can't wait for a meat loaf this winter with my corn and peppers in it

have a good day gentlemen.

Good Morning!

God has given us another chance to get it right (or at least not screw up too badly. . .).

55.4F going to low 80e, another sunny day forecasted.

successfully cut two logs (11’ each) from big pine without anything Rolling downhill onto the cabin shed. Running chains uphill and securing to ther trees probably helped with that.. even though the tree was mostly up in the air due to limbs, and being hung up on other trees. That probably helped contribute to some drying too - and helped minimize rot/fungus as well.

got home another trailer-load of wood (it is only a 4x6) that will get stacked this morning. Later is another weigh-in at diet place — May see a 1 in front instead of a 2 for the first time in almost a decade! And a stop at feed store for some straw and flake bedding for chicken coop & run.

then maybe i will attempt seeing how the shop crane handles those free logs, so I can start loading them up to take to the woodlot and get them out of the driveway…

filled another three jars of honey, I need to decal and invert the other frames of comb and get them flowing.

I hope everyone has a happy healthy safe blessed day!

Hard to believe been 4 years 😳 do you still have couple work habits still with from you X job?
Still up at the crack of dawn and a few other habits that have been ingrained over the years.
Morning all! 48 going to 79.
Perfect travel day. Only takes us a few hours to get to Maine so we will leave after getting a few errands done.
Leaves are just starting to turn here. Not sure how the colors will be as they all seem really dark this year. Already quite a few on the ground too!
Spent a few hours in the shop getting ready for a craft show next month. Good project to get rid of some scraps.
Hope everyone stays safe and healthy!

Phil, your creativity is wonderful to see
I need to winterize my garage before I can get serious about woodworking beyond bird feeders.
cast iron does not do well in an unheated garage, condensation a real issue.
I rub a lot of oil on surfaces to keep up

maybe when Ken is done remodeling his home he can work on my garage...
the one corner has sunk almost four inches. I'm amazed the whole garage hasn't keeled over.
I'll take pics, maybe someone can suggest a solution. Concrete floor has heaved like an iceberg in spots, one end down, one end up.
would sure be nice to have a wood shop I could use year round. I want to do woodworking mostly in the winter anyway.
a big to do

looking at what Phil makes is inspiring. Artistry in wood.

I'll always remember Don's amazing bridge he built, hundreds of years from now someone will be looking at that
and wondering who TxDon was. Pretty cool to make something that lasts and lasts and lasts.
I would think making wooden kids toys would be satisfying.
generations of little hands waiting to play with them

Amazon sent out a Christmas kid's toy catalog, like the old days, with a huge amount of stuff in it.
fun to see what is current, and what sticks around year after year.
no prices, just ideas I guess, and placed throughout the catalog are word games to play.

remember when a trip to Toys R Us was mandatory?

we never got many toys as kids. Got more books and clothes.
Erector set was a highlight. Building stuff up in the attic was great fun.
building those erector set contraptions was good training for me later on in life
building electronic Heath kits.

the value of a hand made gift can be priceless

60 outside this AM. Heading to lower 80's. 90% humidity.

More Milk House attic cleaning on the schedule for today. Need to get it done. Hope to get to foam board today. We shall see. Grasses need cutting to. Nice and green again. Morning dews.

Hope all have a great day. Be safe. Those ailing, well wishes your way.
