good morning all
thermometer says 49, funny how that seems so cold now..........
rain coming in this afternoon so I have a busy day.
need to do my trip foodshopping this morning, and then try to mow the lawn this afternoon before it rains.
being Sunday I won't mow before noon.

Kilroy, I've never seen a Makita 2 cycle chainsaw. Looks well made. Good helmet is smart

The owner was amateur Indian archaeologist and he has found many Indian arrow heads and other artifacts on his property. You may be right it is made to look like wampum currency

Ron, I have my bandsaw and planer on rollers to help save space in the wood shop ! If planning a lot I will wheel the planer over to the back side of the shop and just blow the chips out there and pick up with the tractor ! Seems to work out well unless really cold out !

All my wood tools are on wheels. The desk was taking up so much room I had to move 3 or 4 tools to get at the one I wanted to use. Pretty much fixed now.

The Makita chain saw failed yesterday. The sprocket will not turn even with freshly charged batteries.

Any chance it’s a chain brake issue, or the switch on the chain brake arm?

Morning all, 59 going to 79 and sunny.
Son's band practice here this morning and then we take them to play at some place south of Philly. Another driving day.

The Stiltgrass comes up through everything, so mowing down bushes and the sides of the trench and edge of the driveway and woods is not possible.

Sodamo - great that the conversion worked so well, wish we could keep the pool open longer, but you know, cold

Makita bought Dolmar about 20 years ago, they tried rebadging them immediately but didn’t sell (although a friend of mine got one and it still runs fine) but now they are fully branding those saws as Makita.

62 outside this AM, heading to lower 70's. 90% humidity.

Rain in the area. Just not here.

In catchup mode.

MX still broke. Found alternator belt wrapped on lower pully. Not much room to see or work in there. Attempted to get it back on, is frayed. Even with alternator loose, not enough space to get it back on pully. Alternator looks like it could move closer to engine block but it does not. Also found an emissions gauge of some sort was disconnected. Drove it back up to house, parked it, looked at it some more and gave up. Tried the rope trick on the belt, no joy. Need a new one, Monday call to dealer. That had to be a once in a million shot with the branch. Well. branch was about as big as my forearm. Must have backed over it and it popped up into the compartment.

Maybe later today, but I have a hot lunch date in a few.
