To some degree, the secret to a long marriage is the ability to ignore the bad stuff.

My wife explained to our daughter that we have one rule that we always follow. Only one of us can be an AH at a time. If it’s not your turn, suck it up.
Our next anniversary will be 50.

Good morning! Low was 57°, high should be around 82°. Much better up here in the mountains than in the valleys.... those temps get 10-15° hotter. No rain yesterday. At least we have another 50-50 shot today.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! to Mr and Mrs Kyle!
Hope you have many more!
There are some big cracks! Our grass is just as crunchified, but no cracks like that!

Don’t think anyone in TX is wishing for a sauna. 😂
......More like wishing for a freezer!....

Drew, hope the happy pills work.....

Kilroy, nice job on the kindling holder. Neat idea / concept.

Going into town again, gonna try to score that insulation at a fair price. Then this afternoon, wifey wants to transplant about 70-80 seedlings into bigger containers to overwinter. That should finish off the rest of the day.....

Everyone have a great day!

And a Good Morning to all;
Popgaget, quite the lightning strike damage, good luck getting it all found, it took me a couple of years to find all of mine after a similar but much lessor strike.

Drew, good luck with the MRI, I have trouble at times but usually manage to complete the sequence did have one time were it wasn't going to happen. I have to scrunch my shoulders in to fit through and my then my face and nose are almost touching it does feel a bit claustrophobic at times.

Had a request for some antique tractor photos from the Washington County New York fair, I tried to capture too much in most of the photos but here are some,

I clipped part of this one to show an uncommon tractor and a fairly common one A McCormick Deering and a IH 460 utility

One of my favorites

And another, didn't see many of these in the day. But always liked them. However, talk about getting dirty while getting on a tractor and clumsy in tight quarters.

To do the display justice would have taken a few hundred photos.

Take care all.

Good Morning!!!! 71F @ 8:00AM. Abundant sunshine. High 94F. Winds light and variable.

Flaky people might be my worst hot button, KJC. I have a lot of trouble keeping my opinions to myself, and that usually just makes things worse. Good luck with the spa repair, and I hope they don't find anything too expensive.

Early trip to town yesterday to be the first appointment at the glass shop, and they finished the windshield replacement an hour earlier than predicted. So far, everything that was attached to the glass appears to work, but I'll keep my fingers crossed for the next week or so.

My motorcycle shop buddy picked me up as planned and we enjoyed delicious but not so healthy burritos for breakfast. Then got a coil, handlebars, and the back half of a headlight shell mounted on one of the bikes he's building for a customer. Was hoping to use his milling machine to slot a piece of sheet metal, but the nub that keeps the collet in the spindle from spinning seemed to be missing. I downloaded the manual for him which seems to show how to take it apart, but that job will have to wait for a better time.

Back home I put the groceries away and took a nap, then got a brake controller and sway bar ordered for the van. Still shopping for a cargo net for in back of the front seats. I'd also like to install another tie down anchor behind the seats, but don't seem to be able to get behind where it will go. Thinking a rivnut would work, but will have to research the strength.

UPS dropped off the rest of the paperwork for the van, so I can stop by the DMV while I'm in town Monday to see if I can finally get it registered. But first thing Monday I've got a physical exam so I can get my prescriptions renewed. My PCP retired, so transitioning to a new doctor down south will get fast tracked, too.

Hope the weather moderates for you folks in the hot spots, and hope everyone enjoys the weekend...

Breakfast was ok, for a breakfast buffet.
Picked 1/2 bushel tomatoes and peck of peppers, and few green beans.
Been chilling on porch with fan running, but will have to go into AC soon.

74F and cloudy @ 12:45, heading up to around 78F for the day's high. Slight chance of a rain shower. Supposed to turn partly sunny around 16:00 ... but I see the sun trying to peek out now.

Refilled hopper and one tube feeder, plus the suet feeder late yesterday afternoon.

Also got some more done on scraping the underside of the deck on the Cub. First batch off the bottom:

IMG_2936 copy.jpg

Will finish that up today and swap out the blades.

Also refill sprayers with the premixed glyphosate juice. May do some more spraying as well once the chance of a shower drops off later. Stuff we already sprayed now starting to yellow.

Beyond that see what else comes up.

Hope everyone is having a good Saturday ... (y)

great pics Lou, thanks for taking them

successful morning. MRI was fine, huge difference between open and regular mri, sides were completely open and about two inches to roof.
sure glad to get that done. Ton of Saturday traffic on way home.

plan on doing as little as possible this afternoon. 85 out now

RS, I like the factory mower deck skid plate on the CC.
when I was mowing the graveyard at church, I installed a white plastic skid plate in the same place.
did my best not to touch anything but if I did the slippery plastic worked great

Good Morning. Heating up again, triple digit highs peaking at 107 on Tuesday then a cooling trend. This is more of a fall weather trend than Summer. Days are getting shorter. I'll take it. Nothing planned this weekend. Thinking I will wash the Boxster today and take the Porsche for a top down drive up the mountain tomorrow early AM. It's always cooler up there and there is a rustic little indoor/outdoor diner at the summit for a cup of coffee in the pines.
Spent an hour updating the Foxwell OBD reader with the Porsche software and 30 minutes in the car to learn how to turn the little oil change message off after the service we did last weekend. Sheesh.
The Porsche Boxster S it is the best driving car I've ever experienced. Love the howling sound of the flat 6 with the precision handling. Of course it has a manual 6 spd for maximum driving enjoyment.

I hope you all have a great weekend.

Great cars scootr Porsche has a sound of its own enjoy the ride be safe in the heat
I had a boss that had a flat 6 airplane engine in an airboat. It had 300 hp, and could really move out.

Guess what, it's hot again today.

We are going to Chili's to celebrate yesterday's anniversary. Hopefully go see Oppenheimer or some movie too.
