Did about 3 hours of bush hogging yesterday...was 98F when I finished, but the tractor never got above normal temps.

Still fighting hornets.

74 high of 96 maybe more storms felt like 107 yesterday more of same today. Stayed inside most of the day

Very cloudy this morning but humid, hate to see my power but units working fine never gets above 70 in the house great sleeping if only I could

74° and overcast. Picked first 2 vine ripened tomatoes. One more about ready. Had a peach for 1st breakfast, will be heading out for 2nd breakfast soon.
Wife is slowly adjusting to iPhone. I know it was frustrating for me, but now I prefer it.
.01” on rain gauge overnight. We ended yesterday with .07”.

Good Morning!!!! 71F @ 5;30AM. Sunny. Hot. High 98F. Winds S at 10 to 15 mph.

Nice pile of wood, Frits.

My buddy's dog will catch flies and bees, chew them up, and swallow 'em. So far we haven't seen any swelling, but it's probably only a matter of time.

Got the sprinkler line run on the new porch cover, and all that's left now is the fascia on the ends of the house. That involves the big extension ladder, so up I go. That's one job I really hate, but it shouldn't take that long.

Still need to hook up the guy wire from the gate post to the new anchor I poured a few weeks ago, but that shouldn't take long, either.

Not sure what else I'll get into, but it'll be inside after lunch.

Good Morning.
73 with a high of 90 with a good chance of thunderstorms this afternoon.

Yesterday was one of those days. The heat has stressed many refrigeration and AC systems to the breaking point. Not being in that business means that I’m not generally “booked up” (with those calls anyway). So I spent the entire day making people comfortable and keeping food from spoiling. I rolled in around 10:30 last night after getting a walk in freezer cold again. At least I’m not bored.

This morning I’m going to look at a speaker for someone from Austin that is playing in Bethlehem later today. It’s not one that I built, but I should be able to get him going. Before that I’ve got to move hay into the barn from the shed, then afterwards I have to go play at a small festival with two stages. Good news is that PA, lights, and back line are all provided, I only need to show up. Stages are under cover, the audience is not, so I hope thunderstorms don’t materialize. Once the mornings tasks are accomplished, it will be a relaxing day.
I could use one of those, I don’t think I even had time to check in here yesterday.

74 outside this AM, 99 expected. Heat indexes again in the low 100's.

Have lots of pick up sticks today, that and the chain saw. Another walnut tree shed a branch. I was no where near it this time. Thank goodness.

Got most of the shopping done yesterday. Also managed a dump run.

Off to the chores!

Morning to all;
Another hot humid day today then the possibility of a bit cooler for next week.
No progress the last 3 weeks on the house remodel and siding,
the contractor has been taking care of some other obligations.
Going to break down and go up to Harbor Freight and buy a new tool box.
My old one has been to small for quite some time and it's getting harder to keep track of things.

Good morning from green Colorado! Not sure of the low temp, but similar to at home. Unfortunately, today's high temp here will be close to 100°.... at home it is only forecast to hit 92°.

This area is almost as dry as back home right now. It's still a bit greener here, but you can see it's barely holding on, starting to get brown. Surprisingly odd for this area.

Got notifications that a couple packages were delivered "on the porch" back home. I never had UPS or FedEx put anything on the porch..... I hope they did this time because a storm supposedly rolled past last night.....

The drive up yesterday was uneventful until we got to Pagosa Springs.... flagmen, barricades, signs advising "road work next 30 miles"..... added an hour to to trip time.

The new granddaughter is adorable! I forgot how small little newborns are. She's really quiet, hardly any crying, but coos and goos and smiles at everyone. Really happy baby. Gaining weight exponentially.

@LouNY - HF is running a liquidation sale on select US General tool boxes. They are coming out with a new generation. I have been really happy with my US General boxes I bought for the same reason….not enough space.
