102˚ today

Looks very similar to my Kawasaki F7 175 Enduro … except mine was probably a little later model-wise (similar color, different paint scheme) … think I bought it new in 1973 or 1974 or thereabouts.

Good Evening Everyone,

It's been a busy week, in spite of having no vehicle to drive (past 3 weeks) - occasionally someone has picked me up while they go to town etc. So I'm managing. Today I had a ride in so that I could insure my flatdeck trailer, so that my son-in-law can return my trailer and '90 GMC Tracker tomorrow morning (6:30 AM). He and my daughter, and 17 month old grandson are moving to Alberta on Monday, and will then be 9 hrs away (currently 1 hr away). I'm feeling quite sad about their move, though I am excited for them. I think it feels worse, because then I am totally on my own with no family nearby. Not the way I planned things, but then again, I didn't expect to be in the process of a divorce either. :( I'll get through this, but I need a running vehicle - hopefully the Tracker is ready to drive now.

Feeling stymied in every sense for the past few months because of the circumstances here, I have spent the past week working in the garage - sorting, labelling, cleaning, tossing, and working towards my workbench (it feels like I am accomplishing something in the midst of all of this. I completely cleaned out one of the bays so that my (wife) can park her car there, while things get settled. Now to re-attack my side of the garage and clean the other bay and workbench.

On a positive note, the one tenant is in the midst of moving to Saskatchewan (yippee). She has been a TERRIBLE tenant - manipulates everything for her own gain, this has cost me extra Thousands over the years. I'm glad to see her moving.

Not sure what the next steps are in the house, or on the property - waiting game continues.

Trusting God - Waiting on the Lord - Praying.

Thanks All, I will keep you posted.

The tank looks like a '71 G4TR 100, but that's only got a 100cc engine. Maybe the 175 used the same tank?

I also found a forum with a post asking for identification help on a similar bike. A post to that forum with more photos would probably nail down the answer.

Coffee has finished brewing. 67° with Thunderstorms this morning. Heading to 78° with partly cloudy skies. .41" so far today. Since tree guy did not come yesterday. Decided to drive over to what is a closest Kubota dealer. Nice people but not Kubota parts. More a Bobcat dealer than anything else. They had a few mowers and RTV's. Closest Kubota tractor dealer is 20 miles away. Rest of the day was spent staying out of the heat. Not much going to get done here until it dries up. May cut some trim for chicken coop.

Everyone stay safe and well.

Good Morning All.

good morning all
another hot day with showers this afternoon.

heading out with rv about 8am, headed to rv dealer in Souderton.
Need to drive right past Popgadget's so....
Paul, check that big yellow mailbox this morning, before it gets too hot.
you will find a ziploc of tomatoes inside.

friend of mine that lives near Souderton, in Lederach, will come pick me up and take me home.
He and I have been best friends since ninth grade. Nice to see him doing well after cancer treatment.
all my friends are in their mid 70's now and I'm not the only one falling apart.

glad to see cooling off in long term forecast. This hot weather too tough on some of us senior citizens...
speaking of hot weather, read an article on Texas power generation, seems wind and solar now make up almost half of the power
needed, and this time the power stayed on. Apparently after the last major problem Texas went on a huge solar push and solar farms popping up
all over the place, making some folks unhappy for sure. Article said no way to build conventional plants as fast as needed, but they can build solar fast, and they
apparently did.

sure not going to please everyone, but hard to imagine the power going off when it's 105 outside.
I hope folks are checking on Bird.

hope most of you are sleeping in. Ron and I get up no matter what...

Good Morning!

God has given us another chance to get it right (or at least not screw up too badly).

66.4F going to mid 80s. Allegedly clear all day. Yesterday, late-day t-storms were all around us, but nothing more than a momentary spit actually hit us, so genny&pump will get run today.

got a decent amount of work done at the woodlot. Moved more firewood logs onto the pile of rounds from trees removed the other day, so they need to be gut and then everything needs to be split and stacked.

Here is the piece of the tree that had grown into the shed roof. I need to see if there is something creative I can do with it:

Mrs wielded the line trimmer while I cleared more walking trail. I will need to go back and do real leveling/grading on them, but just having them opened up is a huge help.

Today will be administrative running around, I don’t think we are going up to woodlot until later in the day to pump water, maybe we will bring the dogs. I want to go back to that one antique store that I missed out on the spy and saws - on the upper floor there was an antique two-man crescent-found felling saw with bright blade and clear logo, but there was no room in the car for it. If it is still there I will drop coin on it.

I hope everyone has a happy healthy safe productive blessed day!

Good morning, 71 going to 93 today. Looks like another no rain day. Yesterday had a lot of rain driving to town but nothing except drips at our place.

Today will make another attempt to get the hydraulic hose fixed.

Not sure what else today but trimming and stacking is still in the plan.
The pile to stack is getting smaller slowly.

Our power company has been proactive in trimming trees and we have had no outages to speak of this year.

Good morning! 75˚F heading to 100˚ and 100˚-104˚ for the next ten days no rain for July. Town is still on 2nd or 3rd level water restrictions depending on what side of town you live on.

Our electric lines are underground so there have been very few power interruptions in the 5 years we have lived here.

Mom's cat is adjusting well here and is enjoying the air-conditioning in the afternoon and the screened in patio in the mornings and evenings. His new cat bed from amazon was delivered yesterday and is his preferred sleeping place, which he does a lot.
