Good morning!!!!

64 outside this AM. Heading to mid 90's. t-Storms moved through late yesterday evening. Body felt the change in atmosphere. Aching...aching...still. Waiting now for the morning fog to burn off. Sure looks gloomy outside.

Had a few lightening strikes with the storms that were loud and bright. Sheesh. One sent the dog under the covers, another sent me looking outside the window after my eye adjusted and ears got cleared. LOL. Dang.....I guess the odds makers are right about chances with lightening and lotteries. LOL.

Got the accountant settled, paperwork with the US Government needed. Done for 2022. LOL. Picked up some more wood and screws while I was out. Met the plumber when I got back. He was more prepared than the last guy. Seemed more enthusiastic about the possible job too. Gave up better ideas too. Looks like I am still on the hook for busting concrete though, and....the wife needs to figure out if she wants to keep the chimney in the Milk House. It looks to be a free floater. I have no idea how it is supported. I'll have to post some pics and have the TBN crew give me some hints as to how it is constructed. I found an old diagram on the internet a while back. Obviously they do not make them like that anymore.

Hope all deal with the weather accordingly. Got to respect Mother Nature. Hope all have a great day. Be safe.

66 rising to 92...small shower last night.

LS, so glad to have you back, and what a beautiful place you've made.

Thomas, do you know how many spots on a fawn? I was recently reading an article about the Pennsylvania Game Commission's 10 year study of deer, including capture and release after fitting them with GPS collars. Amazing things they learned, but one fun fact was that fawns have from 272 to 342 spots.

I took the troublesome zerk off my zero-turn drive shaft yesterday, cleaned it, and then no problems using the grease gun on it. Then mowed for a couple of hours to celebrate, and to run out much of the diesel fuel in the tank, since next I need to change out the 2 fuel filters.

I made major progress on the hornet nest inside the paulownia tree...hit them with a one-two punch just before dark. Watched it this morning and saw only 1 hornet fly up, none leaving. Usually, I would have seen 10 to 20 during this time spent watching.

Good Morning.
It’s 65, sunny and going to 90 with little chance of rain. Today will be the day I spend outside mowing, as yesterday was a rain out. We only got 1/3”, but it was spread out in many bouts of small showers throughout the day.

So I spent most of it in front of the computer doing TSA training. Completed most of the modules, have a little bit left that I should be able to knock out today after mowing. I did notice that the Transit Connect had a water leak on the passenger side sliding door, so I spent some time working on that. I’ll test the fix with a hose today if I have the time. I’m thinking I’ll start the day with putting the 90” 3PT on the tractor and cutting inside the pasture fences. It’s too tight to use the big Progressive, the Lazer is probably faster than the tractor, but lacks AC and stereo. It will still get used to go right along the fence lines, and around the house and edges of the lane and RC runway, but the tractor will do the bulk of it.
My wife was getting a list together for a Costco run, but not sure that will fit into the day. It doesn’t help that they open at 10, so you can’t go while the dew dries off the grass. Hopefully the phone will leave me alone today, I’m trying to get caught up so I can make some time for Drew, he’s got a few things saved up for me as well.
Time to eat my special K and get moving, have a good day guys!

Morning all, 66 going up to 90, and thick fog.
Got about an inch of rain last night.
Finished cleaning dryer pipes, this one starts below grade and goes up through the wall to exit outside above grade, so quite a bit to clean from inside.
Too we to do much else.

The copper chimney caps would eventually patina to green, kind of goes with the house though, $400 each is kinda painful, but will see what makes the wife happy.

the two does , each with twins were playing in back yard yesterday, one set of twins is getting bigger and spots starting to fade.

Early meetings at work, did find out a few more people let go, a few more resigned.

Today , lots of meetings, trying to find time to get medicine and do a run for pool salt.

Be well,

Good Morning Guys,
67 now going into the mud 80’s, so another hot and humid day !

Popgadget, your an electrical guy ! My 6hp 30 gal Craftsman compressor is giving me trouble. When I try to start it it’s kicking my breaker, wants to start but kicks breaker instead ! I have read it may be the large capacitor on the motor ! Any feelings on that or a test I could perform on it ? I do have a meter. I’m a mechanical guy so not to good with electrical issues ! Thanks for your thoughts ! 🙏
