Nice day. Mid 60"s this morning going to around 80.

Had breakfast with my dad and then went to property.

Took a few handguns along to shoot.

I got the creek and field mowed to complete another mowing except for other side of creek.
Sitting on porch in front of fan. snagglepuss is sleeping.
Hope it rains again.
The paper towels I laid on the oil spill in my truck soaked up a lot of oil, so put fresh ones in there.

Trying to advise daughter on driving to Charleston to visit friends. The hip replacement is still not 100 percent and she wants to make an overnight stop halfway from DC to Charleston. Not a lot around 95 crossing into NC but may be better to use her travel points and stay overnight in Roanoke and go down 81. Does this sound right?

No rain again. In the forecast daily but nothing around here

70F with light rain @ 16:15 ... for the moment.

Made some progress back in the garden, heat and humidity was bad, we were both dripping and soaked.

Got two 6' wide sections of weed block laid down, center where they overlapped and west side of the west stapled down with 6" long staples every 4'. May need more staples (every 2' ?), not sure.

Woman and I worked on stapling down the center overlap, then She worked on the west edge while I ran a string line to set the t-posts for the cattle panels.

Got 2 t-posts set with the HF hammer drill before the weld on my custom post driver bit broke ...

It was just starting to sprinkle around the time that happened so we put the extension cord and hammer drill away, I bungied the step ladder to one of the t-posts we got driven in so it didn't get blown over into the monofilament fence and then we worked on caging some tomato plants:

Took broken bit up to shop to repair the weld break, also located another three 8' t-posts for the rest of the goat panel which I measured before I headed up there (the remainder is 9' 8" long)

Started sprinkling a little harder so I drove the Cub over to the barn and parked it and Woman picked me up in the car and drove over by the neighbors to see the culvert they are putting in. It drains the adjacent road back towards our property, so I was kind of interested in what was up.

About that time the Heavens opened up and delivered a frog strangler for about 5 - 10 minutes. Temp dropped from the mid-80's down to a cool 70F. Currently 75F.

Closest LWS reports they got 0.17", radar shows there may be some more on the way.

NWS issued a tornado warning for Ashtabula County, radar indicated.

Woman grilled up some dogs and warmed up some chili for lunch.

She was taking a nap ... but I just heard Her yelling at one of the cats ... so I guess that's over now ...

I do I81 any time over I95. Plenty of hotels, nice HIE at Salem. Or Hillsville.

Good (Sunday) morning. Overnight Low of 10.6C (wind chill 5.1C) and it's presently 11.2C, sunny, cloudless with a steady light breeze.

As usual, I'm off to Church in a half hour and then the rest of the day is His.

rain has stopped, .83 inches, that will sure keep the grass growing, 71 out now, temps dropped 20 degrees quickly
which feels nice

Drew, Sassy got her package. Opened it up. Set it in front of her. Grabbed one of toys and ran to living room. She has been playing with it for about 1 hour. I ate last of the cherry pie while watching her. Thank You

78F partly cloudy been 3 H day.

Morning I just poke along,afternoon Mrs.and I attended couple 50 years hand and hand cook out...think the whole town show up met gentleman and we chew fat for the longest time,than out of the blue he said lets take quick ride down to my shop so off we went,he retire couple years just close his doors lawn garden equipment shop,boxes and boxes new used parts,old and new Wheel Horse riding mowers,stacks of old and new trimmers also chainsaws his plans are to give his grandson everything even the keys to door when he turns 16,indeed heck of nice man also very knowledgeable.

Hoping critters would show up guess it still warm to travel.

Gentleman restore this old Wheel Horse from top to bottom added extra,going to give it to his grandson when he turns 14 this year.

70F with light rain @ 21:30, heading down to 67F for the overnight low.

Had shower after shower come rolling through with a couple of good downpours. Rainfall total now up to 0.64" for the day. Looks like there could be a few more in the pipeline too.

Grass will be growing like mad ...

Went up to the shop, got post driver bit tacked up then crack ground out with the angle grinder.

Turned up the heat on the glue gun and went at it.

Welded the inside of the cup this time around too, will see if that holds better than my first attempt.

Located the aluminum fence ties while I was up there along with some zip ties and brought those when I came back down to the house.

Four of the local crew was enjoying the buffet when I came out of the shop:

Going to see if I can talk The Woman into a (hopefully) good movie on Prime.
