The training outfit we are going with does not use a central “school building” - it has a network of trainers who work out of their homes, and the trainer we were assigned has chickens. It was one of the training topics we had discussed in Interview #1, and they did a great job of assignment to meet our needs!
Yes, dogs and chickens can be interesting. Fun to watch, but not good for the birds, and a bad habit and hard to get out - of the dog.

very pretty bird Jay.
Joel, was she wearing safety glasses? She has built in ear muffs with the long hair. ;)
good skill to learn.
Thanks. It took me 2 days to photograph that fully molted Goldfinch. I am fortunate to have a bird attracting ancient pear tree close to the house and a window with a camo shroud.

Jay we have yellow and red finches hog the bird feeder. Our house wrens seem to have left unusual to say the least

Not doing much this weekend. Staying off the property cuz family are out turkey hunting.

Gonna clean the garage and throw new blades on the lawn mower. Haven't looked at the schedule but I'm sure there will be more cup play off games to watch today.

Let my daughter get some saw time. She really wants to learn how to use a chainsaw so what the heck.

After using the saw she only fell in the creek twice
LOL - hair hanging dow instead of back out of the way, in a ponytail or something, no gloves, and very loose clothing. Geez, I hope she takes some sort of course or other! My daughter, in fact, wants her own Chain Saw, and whenever she has used mine we follow strict safety protocol.

Meanwhile, the guy we buy our hens from have a dozen+ dogs, everything from mastiffs through Great Pyrenees, German shepherds, a pit Bull or three, and sever Al mitts, and they are no problem at all, I have seen a chicken riding on in mastiff’s back up there.

so now Harry is not allowed out when the chickens are. Once the chickens go in, he goes out eating fresh chicken poop. . .

She was wearing a set of my glasses, pisses her off cuz I have bifocals.
Horrible Fright has wire mesh face masks for cheap, which is what Mrs uses when I am cutting or when she is running the chipper-shredder. I use a helmet with mask and muffs attached, plus chaps. I’m not a fan of excessive bleeding…

PG, to your point about the grill guard for the tractor. Yes it is very easy to do damage the front of the tractor when cleaning up trees and brush. This damage also wrecked the grill guard. I was able to repair and paint and only had to buy a headlight. But the grill guard is open in the middle and yours would provide more protection. Looks like the bars on yours are lighter than the original Kubota.
