Good (Friday) morning. Overnight Low of 13.4C and it's presently 15.3C, lightly overcast with a gentle breeze.

I'll soon go out and fuel-up the tractor & swap the bale spears for the 4in1. The neighbour is just a couple of properties down.

RNG, good to hear construction is progressing. Did you ever find matching roof tiles?

The last straw was when the supplier sent a sample tile in RED, when the photo I sent them clearly showed the old roof was BROWN. So the insurance company decided to spring for all new tiles. And the cost was actually a bit more than the contractor thinks a metal roof will cost, so that's currently the plan. But when I talked to him today, the roofer he was planning to use was booked until October! He's got more options, but I sure hope one of them works out.

Good luck with the Doc. I still take 4 shots of long/short acting insulin daily and I can still factor in all kinds of "bad" stuff like . It comes down to calories "in," calories "burned," and where those calories came from.

It is really because she is getting tired of handling the grapple and straps on the end of the boom, plus trying to get people with equipment to do things we need done takes too long, and if we have a piece of equipment we can do what we want, when we want. I just am averse to taking on a note when we recently paid EVERYTHING off… and what I would like to get vs what is in our conservative price range are two different things. . . But if she is willing, who am I to fight it?

Even though there was fresh rattlesnake on the fire, and was offered a piece, I declined the offer.....
I have no idea of what rattlesnakes taste like... or alligator... or any other exotic animal.

I have this predisposition to not eating stuff like that .... I guess from watching too many PBS shows of people eating those giant grubs --- while still moving.
