I don't actually eat a lot of fish ... but I could ... ;)
I would if the wife didn't hate the smell so bad and she's the one saying it's poisoned to boot - Oh well not the hill I want to die on. I'll toss another steak or chop on BBQ!

GM Update:

HAPPY BEES-TER!

I got a call just before we sat down to Easter Dinner from the guy I was purchasing my bees from, and he said he would be in town and could deliver my nucs if I wanted “in about 20 minutes”. So in between appetizers and baked ham I took delivery.

I just finished installing them about 20 minutes ago:

Another project in-process in a positive direction!

Happy Easter to all. Nice sunny day.

Good service this morning, and as a bonus, everything with streaming worked well.
Had to stop for turkeys to cross road on way home.
Waiting for lunch to finish cooking. Wife cooked pork roast yesterday, waiting on baked corn.

Didn’t get my wood putty done yesterday, maybe today.
My brother did fix the roof at dad’s yesterday. I ordered new water valves for his washing machine, they are leaking bad. My sister washed a bunch of his clothes.
He has a split maple that needs to come down. That tree was there in the 40s when dad bought the farm.

My brother said it could hit the house. Don’t know if I can cut some limbs off with my pole saw, might go this week and see.
Bet the old tree could tell some stories give wisdom.

Wagtail, "
Mate, after all these years you have to know that we Aussies shorten words then (usually) add 'ie', 'y' or an 'o' on the end."

What do you call your new King?
"Your Majesty" at first and "Sir" after that. ;)

Nah, I know what you're on about... 'Chuck' or 'Charlie' is the humorous way. Just like it was 'Betty & Phil'.

Good (Easter Monday) morning. Overnight Low of 4C and it's presently 16C, partly cloudy with a stiff breeze. Yeah, we're definitely into Autumn but I've yet to light an overnight fire in the heater.

Just doing some dhobi and general puttering around the house. I've got a Church council meeting later on at 1600.

That's about it, take care all.

Easter dinner was fantastic! Then dessert was astronomical!
Son and 3 GS's enjoyed it too! The two youngest GS's (7 & 9) know how to butter up grandma for sure---- "you make the best pies in the whole world grandma!"

Those two did help us get some bulbs planted. They mixed in the compost with the regular soil in the blocks. Of course they wanted to plant some bulbs, so grandma showed them how and they did a few. Then they wanted to "water" the bulbs..... more like play with the hose and make a mess.... nope don't need mud everywhere. One has to draw a line in the dirt, right?

Got about half of the blocks fully done, the second half is half done, with just the yellow ones done (Every other block hole). We'll finish up the orange bulbs tomorrow. Then the remaining bulbs will need to go into small containers for future planting.

Hopefully no more super cold frosts.... the apple and peach trees popped. I am concerned because our aspen trees are still in bud stage..... do the mountain aspen trees know something we don't?

The only flowers about ready to bloom are the grape hyacinths. They are sending up the flower stalks, but they won't bloom for another week to 2 weeks.

RS, can you ship me some of your energy? I could really use some..... The saw is coming along nicely.

Kilroy, are you using the bees for pollination or are you specifically going after honey?

Everyone have a great evening!

That is what I thought, but I didn't want to sound disrespectful. I call him Chuckie when he was a prince I called him Bonnie Prince Charlie.
I take it you weren't invited to the Coronation either?
I wasn't invited to Queenies coronation either.

Temporarily wired up VFD to power and programmed it.

Strapped down 3 phase motor to the small welding table and wired motor to the VFD and gave it a test run.

Under power:

Good evening all. 45ºF for the start, mostly clear sky, ;ight breeze. Light wind, sky clouded up then cleared back off, and high temp was 72ºF. Easter sunrise service to start day, Sun was in our eyes for most of service, very distracting. Did some light puttering, till nap time, then over to stepdaughter's for early dinner. Roast, mashed potatoes, sweet corn on cob, and fruit crisp for dessert. Company was as good as meal.

Sodamo
My neighbor came over he could not open his eyes and the doctor didn't have any idea what was wrong. The
problem is parasites and I gave me neighbor 4 treatments and setting 4 times with my machine no
problem and that was last year that happened.

47 and wet but not raining now...going to 55.

Mostly, sorry no fish cooperated, but glad you got out on the water. I'm sure you checked with the kid on what lure/bait he was using.

Son and DIL and dogs arrived yesterday for the weekend. She is recently pregnant, and they did a "gender reveal" by hiding a colored Peep in a plastic Easter egg. Will be their 1st child, and our 1st grandchild. (y)

Getting ready to hit the woods for opening day of gobbler season.
Congrats! What a blessing! Looking forward to some grand daughter pics and stories.

Nothing in the post yet. Besides, it's a wee bit late to arrange accommodation... I suppose I might be able to get a room at my club in London, "The Union Jack Club", but I'd most likely have to 'sling a 'mick' on HMS BELFAST if it came down to it.

I wasn't born for Betty's coronation in '52. :)

Semi productive day. More poly panel installed interrupted by family calls/facetime which usually devolved into energy conservation.

Dinner with our Canadian friends/tenants who return to Canada tonight and will return this fall. Completion of the cottage remodel will await their return.

Good morning, the low is 33 and the high going to 50°F. Wind S 5 mph. 30% chance of showers. Winters back is broken.

I watched Queen Es coronation on my grandparents TV. We didn't get one until 1958 when I broke my knee.

I don't 'get it', the company tells us not to open links from people we don't know then promptly someone sends me a link and tells me if I don't open it I will lose my email ability. I have gotten along without email within this company for 36 years, why should I care about email now? So this morning will be taken up with doing a cyber security course that should have taken a half an hour on Friday that I spent 2.5 hours on because it wouldn't work properly.
The good thing is that it is all on the companies I-pad and the companies dime.

You guys have a good day
