Good (Saturday) morning. Overnight Low of 12.4C and it's currently 20.9C, mostly sunny with a gentle breeze. There was 3.6mm in the gauge at 0900.

Things are drying out from yesterday's thunderstorm but the ground is still 'mooshy'.

Not much on for today... take care all.

Got some prep work done on the CMU block. About half way through.
I could not believe the wifey.... she said the bulbs we transplanted into the small pots are breaking the surface.
We went to the greenhouse..... wow! About half are sending up shoots!

Tomorrow, we (she) will start transplanting while I finish preparing the rest of the block. Not sure how far we'll get.

Finished the rest of the drip irrigation zones. Won't have to monitor the time tomorrow.... and just concentrate on the planting.

Did an early run to Costco for the Easter ham. They were very busy early, glad I didn't wait until later. Picked up a couple other non-essential items.

Didn't even look towards the gravel piles..... they'll have to wait. Probably Monday.

Drew, I think the landlady is going to be happy! Looks good.

Good evening all. 41ºF for the start, mostly cloudy, light breeze. Moderate wind, mostly cloudy, and high temp was 64ºF. Puttered with boat in morning, went out fishing in afternoon, no bites. To add insult to injury, kid caught a 3-4 lb bass as I arrived at dock. got back to house to get ride in :( but sill glad I went boating.

RNG thanks for the info on your new car.
Drew I used spores to kill grubs, worked very well. Glad greasing and mowing accomplished. Nice neighbor and pic
RNG I hear you on the level control, should be enough snow melt to finish filling the lake. My understanding of the spillway problem was cause by errosion under the concrete an not enough drainage underneath the concrete. They can inspect for those conditions and need to do the inspections on regular basis. Sorry no help from late arborist. Sorry about problems keep old road closed. Nice to hear having fun with new car.

47 and wet but not raining now...going to 55.

Mostly, sorry no fish cooperated, but glad you got out on the water. I'm sure you checked with the kid on what lure/bait he was using.

Son and DIL and dogs arrived yesterday for the weekend. She is recently pregnant, and they did a "gender reveal" by hiding a colored Peep in a plastic Easter egg. Will be their 1st child, and our 1st grandchild. (y)

Getting ready to hit the woods for opening day of gobbler season.

Poured first cup of coffee. 25° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 51° with mostly sunny skies. Got power washer out and cleaned up the Mule. Helped neighbor get his utility trailer out of a hole he had parked it in. Mule to the rescue. Then went trailer shopping. Boy are there the crazy driver out on the freeways. First place I stopped at had several of the model I wanted. Looked over all of them. Picked on that already had the tie down for Side by side on it. Made the deal and purchased it. Saved over $500. When I got it home. Needed to move my old trailer into other barn. Had to renew my Off Road Sticker on Mule. Ran over to local gun shop to get it. Did not look at any guns. Neighbor came over and we talked about her winter stay in Singapore. Stayed up way to late. Time to start getting lawn equipment ready for mowing season.
Grass is turning green.

Good morning, the low temp was 19 and the high for today will be about 39°F. Wind SE 2 mph. Sunny!!

I think I will get outside today and convince some of the ice on the driveway to vacate. I will also try to cut the snow piles down some.

Have a safe day all

Morning all! 27 here going to high 40's.
Wind has been blowing here constantly for the last couple days. Need to get the raking done as the grass is already starting to pop!
Thomas. The robins should be up your way soon as I have a ton of them in my yard.
Can't work outside so I have been keeping busy in the wood shop. Made a couple of widgets to help with bowl turning and cleanup. Also banged out a few more projects that I will post later after they are finished.
Wife's voice is stuck where it is so far. Waiting on her next appt. to see what's next. My switch over to Medicare is still a big pain in the butt! Couldn't get my meds ordered and now I have to see another doctor before they will ship me any replacements for my cpap machine.(I have had it more than 10 years!)
My thumb and hand are acting up still! Not much I can do. Will keep wearing the brace and doing the exercises. Good thing I've always been able to work with both hands!
Enough rambling. Time for another coffee!
Hope everyone stays safe and healthy!
Also: Happy Easter to all those who celebrate!

good morning all
35 going up to 52 today, much cooler than before and frost warning out for tonight.
Guess I'd better cover the tomatoes.

Ken is coming over this morning to help diagnose the rv electrical challenge
and then a haircut at noon and a quiet afternoon planned.

seems most of the first batch of strawberries I planted, too early, croaked so I'll have to buy some more plants.
Saturday is not the day to go to local nurseries, they will be mobbed, but maybe later this afternoon I can drive to the local one.
The nursery is on the property of the long standing Rice's Market, a Tuesday/Saturday event with hundreds of flea market tables set up.
I'm not a flea market person but I do like their plant section. Veggies are 5 dollars a plant, wow.

had a nice dinner at brother's last night, watched lots of little kids hunt Easter eggs and have an egg toss with eggs they had all dyed. The grass was so thick that when egg was dropped, rarely broke.
So....then they took game out onto the pavement. Much less forgiving. When it was all done, shells were picked up and family dog went out and cleaned up the yolk.

got a set of flat queen sheets in for rv. Simply gave up trying to keep fitted sheets on, they kept popping off at top of bed, since regular sheets are longer
than "rv queen" size, will give me plenty of sheet to tuck in, hopefully to stay put.

Ordered four more tires for rv to replace the dually rears, and due to 105 dollar savings, including zero sales tax, savings by picking them up at TireRack distribution warehouse in New Castle DE. About an hour and a half drive, will head down there next week. Am going to start all over with new tires and new flexible (vs straight) valve stem extensions so hopefully will not break any more valves stems in future.

Phil, you really have a talent with wood. Looks like fun.
