Good morning!!!!

Good morning. Nasty ice storm this morning. Also thunder and lightning. Dog is shaking like a leaf. Poor Jasper!

Power just went out and ETA is 11 o’clock tonight. Fortunately, we have the standby generator.

The electrician that was supposed to come today of course could not possibly make it because the roads are slick as you could imagine so he will come tomorrow. Good thing, too, because I wasn’t exactly ready for him.

Should walk the dog soon, but I don’t think he’s gonna move anywhere until after this thunder stops. I will have to put on my spiked boots, because there’s like a skating rink on the deck, and will be so on the road as well.

Interesting morning to be sure.

L4N, will be getting the same thing, but you may also get that big snow since you were a bit farther north than I am. Up to 30 cm (1 foot) they say, for Manitoba and northern Ontario. And this is spring?😂

Good morning! Low of 17°, heading up to only 45°. Still some remaining wind leftover today, gusts to 30 mph.
The wind yesterday, wasn't as strong as Monday, even though it was predicted to be worse. Highest gust was only 52 mph....

I forgot to set the pellet stove last night.... it was 56° in the house this morning..... wifey not happy.....

Kyle, CONGRATULATIONS to the District Champ!

Check, sorry you got hit with the wind and ice. Hope power comes back on stable. Be careful on that ice!

More gravel due for delivery this morning. WOOHOO!
I might wait until tomorrow when the temps get up into the 60's to spread it.

Everyone have a great start to the week!

Morning all;
Hope everyone is doing good and staying as healthy as possible.
Good hearing that you had a good trip Drew.
I think spring is going to settle in here, think I'll pull the tire chains off the tractor today.
Went ahead and ordered a bit of fuel oil for the house and tractors for the start of the year,
$4.15 per gallon, just getting 500 gallons for now we shall see how the price goes this summer.
May end up moving some young stock today my nephew called a bit ago, so depending on how the weather
is cooperating once they finish feeding may head over to the farm with the SxS for that job.

Good morning. Hope all y'all are safe. Had a good storm pop up (we had a storm "watch" but only got about a 30 second advance "warning") last evening. Real good/heavy rain and marble size hail. I had the Jeep in the barn.

I need to work on a better downspout gutter drain "system" than this, which I cobbled up last year. There's not enough pitch, or it might be plugged up with leaves... ? It couldn't handle the load and water was squirting out at the downspout connector, right at/into the barn door. Arrgh.

was doing wonderfully this morning, until I wasn't.
Found the leftover radish seeds and planted 3 rows of them.
Then worked up quite a sweat washing motorhome

then I noticed power light off on supply cord. GFCI tripped in garage. Reset it. Tripped again.
wondered if I got water in the connector somehow, I didn't, but blew it out with air anyway. Bone dry.
tried every variable of cord with/without surge protector on it, tried both of my supply cords, no matter what, when rv plugged in,
gfci tripped. Nothing on that I know of in rv. I need someone who knows more than I here...how did I get a bad ground or short?
I checked all the breakers in rv, everything looked normal. Mystery.

hmmm, realized there is an outside 110VAC receptacle on rv, didn't check that for water. Back out I go later to check on it.
Only thing that changed that I know of was washing the rv.

Drew,
Turn off all breakers, then on one by one until you find it.
Or even better, let the RV dry off for a bit :)
thanks Ken.
I turned off all the breakers and then back on
I blew out all the receptacles, no joy.

now I'll try turning off all the breakers, plug it back in, see if it trips, if not, will do the one breaker at a time
need a second cup of coffee first...

If you have more then one GFI in a circuit they will at times give you nusince trips, if one of the breakers or receptacles in the RV is a GFI that has triped it may cause your first one to trip until it is reset.

Good Morning!!!! 39F @ 7:00AM. Partly cloudy. High 64F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.
The 10-day has gone from mostly sunny to rain starting tomorrow night lasting until Monday. Another wet weekend...

Don't even wanna think how you'd get that MFing tire out of the culvert if it got stuck in there...
Should'a put a NSFW label on that post, Drew. 🤣

Got a late start yesterday, but I did get the burn pile fired up. The two pretty big stumps in it didn't get burned all the way, not surprising because of their size. But I managed to get through about a dozen trees, maybe a quarter of the pile.

The contractor for the house repair dropped by, and I thought he was gonna have a contract/job sheet for me to sign. Nope, still waiting on the building department to approve the plans. Thought he said before that was done, too.🤷🏼‍♂️ The insurance company changed adjusters, and he'd just gotten off a phone call with the new one before he arrived to ask why they were refusing parts of his estimate. Not a change for the better, as the new guy refuses to speak to contractors about any issues. I found out last week these adjusters are contractors that work for another company, so this morning I'll call my original contact at the insurance company and complain. Had to get out of bed earlier to replace the batteries in the smoke detector in the bedroom, so I'm already in a bad mood. I'll try to be nice, in the beginning anyway, but it might get nasty.

Yeah, hump day already?
