good morning all
33 going up to 55, should be a nice day

Thomas, that's a lot of turkeys. Got cranberries?...

going to Solebury Meeting this morning, right down the street.
Not attending "my" Meeting due to continuing problems with certain individuals, long story.
Need to wait them out and then I'll go back. Just decided to walk away instead of battling with some folks
who refuse to be honest and open. Truthfulness is a prime directive in my faith and despite being able to "win" and prove
my point, it isn't worth it, creates too much internal commotion. Sometimes you have to know when to fold them.
Well....I always look for silver linings. Will have more time to travel and less desire to go to Meeting every Sunday.

This afternoon I'll be putting water in the rv and testing out the plumbing. Still have some cold nights ahead but not where temps stay below
freezing for a long time. I'll keep a little heat in the unit and put the water tank heaters on. Curious to see if they work...
yesterday hung some art in rv, starting to feel like a little home on wheels.

tomorrow am off to dealer two hours West to get the heating system fixed, install new toilet, install new tv and finally put on an aftermarket
TPMS system. Then I should be ready to hit the road.

Good Morning!!!! 37F @ 4:45AM. Rain showers early becoming a steady light rain for the afternoon. High near 50F. Winds S at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 60%.
We got another .22" of rain yesterday, some of it coming down as small hail. And another .42" since midnight, along with some gale force wind. What I'd always thought was the steel porch cover making the squeaking sounds on the back porch turns out to the the aluminum screens over the sliding glass doors instead. Not sure what to do about that, though it would be one less thing to disturb my sleep if I did.

Thanks for posting that, Drew. I wonder if it works the same way with the tap pads at gas pumps?

We're having trouble with the Board of Directors making unpopular changes to the Airheads motorcycle club again. No surprise, as nothing was done after the last time they did it to prevent just three people from going rogue and pushing things sideways. This time, though, they're censoring all debate, keeping contrary opinions out of the printed newsletter that most members use to stay abreast of such events. And many of them don't even have email addresses, so to this point they're pretty much clueless about the shenanigans. Not sure what's to be done about it, as the answer seems to be at least one pay grade above me. Sad behavior in a club whose Canons say they value "friendship over friction".

I searched through the inventories of most of the Los Angeles Ford dealers yesterday looking for a Transit match. Not many of them order the long range gas tank, so I came up pretty much empty handed. It would be a LOT easier if Ford improved its online search tool by including more criteria fields, but I've had enough of tilting at windmills for now.

Same sort of thing with the house hunt, as digging through online records for plot maps and calculating areas and coverage limits from satellite photography is time consuming and a bit tedious. But it's raining out and I guess I've nothing better to do.

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend!

Worked for me, it was an entertaining ride. I liked your daughters commentary.
Thanks for letting me know it worked. This was about halfway through the storm. Total was 12" in 16 hours. We passed several people with front wheel drive vehicles who couldn't get going even on the flat. (Probably no snow tires.). At one place where we stopped for a red light, the guy trying to go when his cross street light turned green kept trying and trying until our light turned green and it was our turn to go. (He had a front wheel drive minivan.) As we drove through the intersection, my daughter said "I wonder how long he's been sitting there trying to make it through the intersection each time his light turned green, and getting nowhere?"🤣

People need to get snow tires in the winter. Period.

The ironic part is that all those buses were on the road because the subway was down. I wonder how those buses eventually got going? (The snowplows were out in full force, so hopefully not too long.)

BTW all is clear now and main roads are bare (but sidewalks are a mess, and the kid runs to work).

Good Morning
32 when I woke up, nice sunny day and warming up.

Yesterday was a busy day in the shop lots of bracing installed in the latest speaker.

It’s a project in itself to get it all clamped into place.

Had to change a gas valve on a pizza oven at the restaurant, the new one was a little different, had to use a knockout punch to “adjust” the stainless cover to fit, but overall a quick and easy job.

Then back to speakers in the shop.

More of the same today, but need a trip to HD for some supplies.

Worked for me too! Do you have studded tires?

Morning all, 49 going to 55 and sunny.
Up late today.
Took dog to peddlars village for her walk and later to a newish Greek restaurant in Lambertville.
a bit expensive, but right on the canal, and with something unusual for in town, a parking lot.
Enjoyed the meal and they had no problem making mine lactose/dairy free.
Guy has another location in Princeton that he has had a while, so he seems to know what he is doing.

Son spent the day and evening with his friends and band playing at a one of their houses. Some of our garbage cans went there and are now a mess, wonder if we will see them again. Most of the other stuff came back ok.

BEF - Lots of not-good activity- people driving like nutters does not help

I won't go into detail on my many year problems with ATT for Cell/land line. But leave it at never, ever going with them again. However on the business side, they have great networks and technical staff, but their off hours support can be iffy, and the company I work for has millions invested with ATT connections, but less each year. They don't seem to want to wake up.

Will see if I can get out there and use the new fusilade II spray today on the trails to stop the stiltgrass. I think BEF or Wngsprd showed me this from one of their hikes?

Maybe some pick up sticks and some rock clearing too.

Be well,

Good morning! Low of 36°, first time in a while that it didn't go below freezing! Maybe a sign of spring? High today supposed to hit 60°, but the winds are back..... 40 mph gusts possible this afternoon. No precip.

Going to check the moisture levels in the landscaping..... might have to give everything a drink again. Gets dried out fast when it's windy. Definitely water the plants in the greenhouse.

Picked up another ROKU at Wally World yesterday, for our bedroom TV.
Now that we have fabulous internet, we can stream shows, mainly PBS (commercial free). Need to get it hooked up and programmed.

More piddling around is on today's agenda..... see what trouble I can find.....

Homemade pan pizza last night was excellent as usual. The son and 3 GS were here for the treat. The GS nicknamed the pizzas "Momino's" .... after the pizza chain.... they say her's is better.
And we had blueberry / cheesecake pie for dessert...... mmmmm

Everyone have a peaceful Sunday

63°F and no rain

Actually got a little done yesterday. Maybe the most important being cleaning out back of truck.

Off to Lowe’s this morning to get a bunch of material for the cottage project and doors for my tractor shed extension.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

How do you know if you are a red neck? Bailing wire. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
I still have some old straw bales stacked (poorly) in my old barn, with real bailing WIRE. How old are these (when did they stop using wire)?

60° today.
Streaming problem at church last 3 weeks was the network port on the computer. I used a USB ethernet dongle and it works great. We did get comcast out to check out their cables, turns out cable was bad also, so they installed new cable into building and new modem. So streaming works again.
Got into it with AT&T rep last week, I could barely understand their english. I had cancelled my landline long distance AT&T on the 1st of Feb, they sent me a bill thru mid Feb with a late fee. I was not happy camper and let them know, asked to speak to supervisor, who they said would call me, but didn't. No surprise. So only have local calls on landline now, enough for emergency calls.
Finally over my coughing, after 2 or 3 weeks of it.
Breakfast at the diner on the mountain was really really slow yesterday, beyond their normal slow. We are looking for new place, where we can sit and chat afterwards.

When I had to replace The Steel Pig (my ‘93 Caprice wagon) back in 2016, I had a choice of the 302 or the EcoBoost 4cyl if I wanted it off the lot.

I needed it off the lot.

I went for the V8 because it was proven and (relatively) simpler. Someone I know a couple months later got the EB4, and last year had to drop $16G because something in the turbo system failed and the whole thing needed replacement.

I miss my ’75 Chevy - I could fix most things with Vise Grips and a hammer (yes, that is an exaggeration, but you get the idea. . . ) and my ‘70 AMC HAD ENOUGH ROOM FOR TWO SUITCASES UNDER THE HOOD - I could work on it in the rain, just climb in and close the hood. . .
The Ford 5.0 l coyote V8 has been a very durable engine. But they are having some troubles now with the 2020 models and Ford is having to replace some engines, they develop a knock. My buddy who has one has done a compression check on his personal vehicle with 80,000 miles and cylinder number 8 was substantially lower than the other seven. 7 cylinders were close to 300 PSI whereas the 1 cylinder was only around 230. It is sitting right now at the dealership awaiting a new engine with 88,000 MI. He only has warranty to 90,000 mi so he has to park it until Ford can get him a new motor. Another customer had to wait 7 months to get his new motor. My buddy is prepared to wait.
Ps, I would have chosen the V8 too naturally aspirated. But in the transit case, they only offer a naturally aspirated V6 or the twin turbo model. And the torque of the EcoBoost is unbelievable.
