I am still having problems getting my oil fill cap/breather off - it moves about 1/8” up and down and that is it. I may have to put a come along to a rafter and hope I dont lift the tractor off the ground…

Sophie’s nephew in town for quick visit to his Dad so will be joining us this afternoon. At least 5 years since we’ve seen him.

Good Morning

WINTER STORM WARNING

We are in the midst of a 3 day snow storm that began late Friday night. Snowed without any breaks all-day yesterday, more of the same today. The forecast anticipates 45 cm (18 inches) before this ends after midnight. My RWD (2 wd) pickup won't help today, but I expect 2-3 hours of tractor time crammed into my schedule this afternoon, just for access. I'll watch the church service online today, grabbing a coffee and staying put.

Though snowbound currently, ... I HAVE COFFEE so I'll be fine.

it was reported last night that there were at least 30 tractor-trailer units stuck on the Trans-Canada Hwy blocking travel, with no good areas to pull over and chain up. (hwy runs down the centre of our town, and it is The major hub for travel across the country. Here there are no alternate roads as detours - it can be a mess at times like this)

Though the snowfall is steady, the hourly accumulation is minimal - this is a marathon, not a sprint. Positives are that the wind is minimal, and the temperatures moderate at -5 to -15 C.

(an Arizona holiday sounds good right about now)

Overslept my alarm. Was planning to stay home and let my son handle streaming, but streaming wasn’t working again, so I ran up to the building for worship.
Frustrating, suddenly getting 98% packet loss again. The change I made this week that made it work, is still ok. The network does not appear congested. Maybe Facebook is the problem, they have made changes again.
Reboot did not solve anything.

Anyways, we still record and post online afterwards.
I’m thinking of a dedicated PC just for streaming.

Having bunch more coughing. I came home, wife will bring me lunch.. I won’t tell her I grabbed 3 tacos at the bell since I skipped breakfast. Couldn’t wait till 2 to eat, but I’m still hungry.

Hotels near Charleston SC double in price in April vs right now. Definitely not paying almost $700 night at a golf resort. $200 is more than I want to pay.

Todays trip went down to Antietam Battlefields and was very lovely weather. We needed this break after some disappointing calls from our Army Veteran son.

Sunny and 46F @ 13:15, heading up to around 49F for the high. Overnight low was 25.7F.

Woman was up when I got up about an hour ago. Said She had been up since 09:00 and felt good when She woke up ... then took her Paxlovid and has started to feel yucky again. So She went back to bed.

I'm still feeling fine, other than the normal aches and pains.

Was out in the garage pretty late, around 03:00 I think ... got a good bit done, 14 slots so far, only 3 left to go across the width:

I quit when the torpedo heater quit firing off and I noticed it was getting chilly. Smacked the fuel gauge and it dropped to Empty.

Agenda for the rest of today:

Get cleaned up.

Refill hopper and deer feeders which are both empty, probably one suet feeder as well.

Make run down to Menards and pick up plywood and other items.

Swing by gas station on way back and pick up diesel, refuel torpedo heater when I get back.

Finish those last 3 slots across the width, and probably start on the ones on the length.

Make some dinner.
