Good morning! 46 now and foggy, high of 51 and a chance of some rain.

Drew….I wasn’t a fan of the 2 stroke sound. I prefer 4 strokes. But a Kawasaki H2 with chambers on a half mile raised the hair on the back of my neck.

If I have to live with piped in sound in a vehicle, it is gonna be obnoxious. Think Rolls Royce Merlin, P & W R-2800 specifically in a Corsair, or a Harley XR750…..all at full song. Or a Velocette Venom with a megaphone on the over run when you back off the throttle….

Not sure what today will bring. Probably gonna go to FL this week for the kick off races of 2023. So should get things ready to go.

Or find something else to do.

Good morning to all! Low of 29°, going up to 38°. Light snow showers. We got 0.12" of rain in the gauge, before the light dusting of snow. Fine powdery snow coming down almost looks like fog.

David, cute pics of the pup.... they grow up fast!

Paul (PopG), I swear that Zoe has gotten noticeably bigger already! Looks like she is fitting in well with the family.

Drew, EVERYTHING will eat strawberries.... no deer here, but the birds and fence lizards decimate our strawberries. Usually that happens the day before we're going to pick them!

BEF, are you feeling 'out of place' yet? Enjoy the first official day of 'no roll'...

Not sure what I'll get into today. Might try to clean / organize the hobby shack. Over the last few months, it has become a 'catch all' of odd things, like the cooler out of the RV, 2 older throw rugs rolled up, the shop vac out of the garage. It all needs to go back to the proper locations. I might have to wait until the weather clears.....(hint, hint)

The knee really acted up yesterday, call it coincidental, but when these weather fronts roll in.... I feel it in the knee for sure. It was swollen and uncomfortable last night for sure! Another appointment with the surgeon in a couple weeks. --- I'm not expecting any results, probably just more questions.

When she was at the vet last Friday, she had gained almost 7lbs in 10 days. 16 to 22-12oz. And she isn’t pudgy.

The new years day supper was the rump roast of beef and a sweet potato for me. I cut my potato lengthwise and cut out a small 1/2" V out of the middle and fill that with sweet butter (salt free). The other half I will have cold tonight. I treated it with dark maple syrup and a pat of butter before it got cold.

As far as artificial sounds go for a EV that I will never own, a C-15 Cat run through 8" straight pipes.

Today is a holiday for most of the working world, since the 1st was Sunday. Even the rose bowl is today.

I’m thinking cleaning and organizing in garage might be my first undertaking. Remove my handicap ramp to get 2nd car in. Subaru needs oil change. It seems to use more oil the longer the old oil is in there. I use synthetic and used to go 10k, but now it was getting low at 5k, low again at 7k. Costco still doesn’t have Mobil 1 in stock 0w-20, they did get some other in. I ordered some on Amazon, it hadn’t come yet but now says Wednesday.
The UpS batteries I waited to order so they would come tomorrow showed up Saturday.

You are doing better than me. I ordered UPS batteries from Amazon Prime a week an a half ago, said they would arrive last Friday. Tracking shows they are still 2 days out minimum and I am supposed to go out of town on Wed. Not sure there is any advantage to having a Prime membership.

48F with some fog @ 13:15, heading up to around 52F for the high with a slight chance of a rain shower.

Very enjoyable New Year's dinner over at the relatives yesterday, was just the four of us. Dumplings and sauerkraut were good. Woman did a green bean casserole but used Cream of Bacon rather than Cream of Mushroom soup. I give it an unqualified thumbs up.

I made it through the first movie but between the beer and the Kahlua I kept drifting off during the second one.

We didn't get home until well after midnight.

I managed to make it up before She did again this morning by about a 1/2 hour.

Brought tube feeders in (day before yesterday ?) to be refilled, they were pretty wet and should be dry by now so probably get those refilled along with the hopper feeder) and get them hung back out.

Have a couple of bills I need to get scheduled today.

Beyond that nothing in particular, but no shortage of possible items to get back to work on.

Probably check with The Woman and see which way She is leaning.
