42F and cloudy @ 14:30, temps are predicted to drop from here on out. No precip yet.

Still working on the first cup.

We watched what I think was the last (released ?) movie in The Hunger Games series last night. Also watched a couple of YouTubes on building woodworking benches as well.

Mail person dropped off a couple packages a bit ago.

Woman just headed out the door for more Christmas shopping.

Picked up a mineral block for the deer while we were at TSC last night, was in the trunk of the car. She put that on the hay wagon before She left so that will need to be moved off and placed before anything gets moved. Probably go ahead and refill the hopper feeder while I'm over there. Might go grab the deer feeder from out back while I'm at it.

She also brought in the scraps of 1 1/2" foam board that I gathered up from the barn yesterday before She left. Will use those to fill in down in the utility room.

I'm going to go move the Kubota from out front over into the barn, probably move the hay wagon from out front too, as She's been asking for that for a while now.

Then probably back down into the basement for more festivities down there.

Hope everyone is having a decent Thursday ... (y)

Why are you rethinking? Other than the obvious issues with adding in an additional hydraulic circuit. . .
Adding the additional hydraulic circuit is the main problem. I have the spool valve, in fact I have 6 of them off an older portable parking lot.

scaredy; I never start the tractor when the temperatures are -20F or lower. Steel for all of its' strength breaks easily in extreme cold. Besides, my previously frost bitten & arthritic fingers don't like the cold.
Many many years ago remember reading when Alaska pipe line heavy equipment to it hard.dozer blades would crack also dump trucks frames etc.,teams of welders were always busy.

Evening all, a bit late for Morning;
Hope everyone stays well with these big storms going through the country.
Just getting in from doing my part to be ready, Backed the generator and tractor up to the house garage so it's ready to go,
full of fuel, then toped of the tank in the other tractor and gave her a quick once over, then put the booster pack on charge just in case.
Moved my pickup over to the very edge of the driveway to give my wife parking room between it and the generator tractor.
It's finally above freezing today a whopping 34F, the weather guessers are still calling for us to reach 50F tomorrow day with lots of rain,
then to nose dive to 10F Friday night while dumping almost 3/4" of rain tonight with a bit of snow and ice, then another 3/4" Friday before going back to ice or snow, plus lots of wind to go with it.
Boy oh boy gotta just love this weather, going to rough on the animals and fields,

Down to 40F @ 17:15 with some rain, from the looks of the radar the dividing line between the cold stuff and what we have here is around the Ohio/Indiana line.

Mineral block put out for deer, also hopper feeder refilled and more cracked corn spread on ground.

Plastic pallet moved over to barn, pallet forks dropped and bucket put on.

About 6 five gallon buckets of cat litter emptied into the Kubota bucket and taken up and dumped on the compost pile.

Some lumber loaded on hay wagon and hay wagon moved over into the barn.

Pole for the tube feeders put up, two tube feeders filled and put up.

All driveway markers put in except for 3 which were broken. Probably should be pick up a few more of those.

Kubota parked over in the barn where it will remain dry, and where the block heater can easily plugged in.

Closed up the garage and put the lights turned on for The Woman's return.

Got the firewood inside to be ready for the cold front with 5 F in the forecast for the morning. Plumbers will have some good paydays coming up from burst pipes especially in areas not usually seeing this. Will have to run the big furnace to stay warm.
The van is repaired and will be delivered tomorrow morning. All because of poor quality O rings for the oil cooler that leaked.
We got wifes blood test results showing that she has antibodies to covid. When I was infected she did not test positive but clearly she had the infection.
Catfish is on the menu for supper. Wife makes the best and very moist and flaky. Daughters appointment for Zion is below:
