Good morning!!!!

I'm told my daughter has a rat in their house. (!) I have zero experience with them. They've placed traps and sticky pads, and have a pellet gun handy, too. They've had a bunch of mice they've been fighting, but this pest is new to them (and me).

Any removal advice y'all would like to share, so I can pass it along?
I posted this before. It works the best is what we found. Buy the traps at farm supply stores and load it with "tasty" treats IMG_1357.jpeg

MrsKilroyJC came from a family that never repaired/always replaced. Suffice to say I usually get grief about trying to fix things, and more grief when it doesn’t still work, even though there is no loss when trying doesn’t work except for a bit of time and effort. But crickets when I do fix things and save the $$. . .

My Grandparents weathered the 1929 Depression and instilled in me "Use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without”. As long as I don't have to spend too much on tools and parts I try to fix first.

While we were out driving our neighbor dropped off a Christmas Wreath. This is the same neighbor that wanted to sue us for the property line. Maybe he talked to a lawyer?

Watched some YouTubes with The Woman on water softeners and had discussion about that. Also did some research on new softeners. Think it demystified things a bit for Her.
I went the new route because the original water softener was a well water softener (we have city water) and the chlorine dissolved the inside of the controller. Just be sure to measure the current hardness of the water so you can set the controls to the proper setting. Ours measured less hard than the initial measurement 6 years ago by 25%. Also the pressure was too high and had to install a pressure reducer. Oh, a new one is $$$$ not $$$.
