3600 rpm
Generac model 7210 air cooled
200A transfer switch

They said at least 300 gal propane tank for 2-3 days depending on load. I really don’t want a huge tank in my back yard. Really don’t like generator there either.

generators direct can ship it Friday for $5757
I could never justify a whole house generator here in Texas. Even during the worst hurricanes in Houston power was never out for more than a few days. I just pretend I'm camping. If it looks like there may be an outage event that will last a week I don't see a problem. I do have a small Yamaha gasoline generator to charge the phones for several hours a day. Batch cooking before, water, Ice - good to go.

Alien, great video. Like those fake wrestling shows where they throw the other guy out of the ring.

two more hours in the gunk but got it mostly cleaned off, and oiled where needed. JD has some nice spray oil with
teflon in it. So all those dirty controls are now cleaned and well oiled. Ready for another five years or so then the cover has to come off and this
job repeated. I'll resume again tomorrow afternoon. Battery is shot, went tick tick and barely started. I'll tighten the connections again, but they felt good.

new drill bits for metal came in. US made, so sharp almost nicked my finger.
No more using the wrong bits.

those drill bits are in Ken's honor. That poor guy spent an hour in the hot sun trying to drill with those impossibly dull drill bits I gave him for the trailer job.
He was a real trooper and didn't give up. After I had.
Popgadget had a marvelous eyebrow raise when I handed him my broken drill bits and it was clear they should never have gone into hardened steel.
And it was also clear he could not put humpty dumpty back together again.

there are lots of wood bits that look only like wood bits like spade or forstner. Then there are wood bits that look like metal bits. I am now very familiar with them.
when the going gets tough, better bring the right drill bits.

LS, sorry your knee is such a pain. Hope it gets better before too long.

Buppies, hope you and the wife are feeling better.

Don, 2 words...Tires, Costco.

Wag, looking forward to your tale.

RNG, I like your new "dishes"...also hope you got those hummingbird feeders cleaned up and refilled...ours are almost in a frenzy this time of year.

Hope that Sophie has a safe return home.

Yesterday drove to Virginia Beach to pick up my mom and take her to two out of town cemeteries, the farm, her favorite country store, etc. We had 6+ hours together and we really had fun. Did a BEF driving day...445 miles...just wish they'd get that new Hampton Roads bridge-tunnel finished.

Today, took it easy...washed the truck before sunrise, and then worked on the leaking plumbing on my 3 pt spray tank/boom. Watched a movie with my wife. It felt like August outside again.

Good Morning Everyone,

another busy day in town, sold eggs, bought chicken feed, then coffee with a friend. when i got home i fed the chickens and rabbits, and then i heard some peeping in the incubator ... so far 1 more little yellow chick, probably noticed within 1 hr of hatching

daugen - i love the Ventrac, and that Gravely is classic. good thing you were present to Babysit that company and crew, sounds hectic

BEF - i almost want to build a slope in order to really justify the purchase of a Ventrac

popgadget - praying that your wife's the back surgery went well today

RNG - a streetlamp maybe ?

One of my closest uncles passed away 2 nights ago. I was sending condolences to my cousins, and my one cousin responded that they (cousin, her husband, and another cousin) were driving from Alberta to Vancouver area BC ... i asked if they were coming through the Salmon Arm area enroute. She said yes they were.

Long and short, I met them for coffee for about an hour this afternoon. I gave them 6 condolence cards, a wooden toy "garage" that my uncle made for each of four of us cousins (50 years ago), and a few diecasts. They thought that was awesome. We had a good visit, and they carried on for the final 6 hours of the drive. It was nice to catch up. I told them that it was unlikely that I'd be able to get to the service though. They have a lot on their plates at the moment.

now back to my regular day
