Will a ton last all winter. Mom spent that much for propane last winter.

No, I normally use about 3 ton of coal and 7 to 800 gallons of oil per winter.
It is looking like I'll use the mini-splits and keep it a bit cooler this winter.
I do have almost 3 ton of coal stock piled, plus I spent a bunch on insulation this year,
so we shall see.
I am getting worried about the folks that are having trouble getting by many years,
with the increasing prices of food and fuel may be a bunch of unhappy people this winter.

20 till 6 I was heading out to get mower ready, wife said supper at 6, so I waited. Supper was 6:30, got started outside at 7.
Had to gas it up. Backing out I leaned over each side to check tires, noticed back left tire was low. Aired it up. Noticed front 2 tires had grease zerks, gave them a shot. Since I had grease gun out, did the tractor loader, except the 2 underneath.
So mowed along creek and the field. Finished in the dark,back in house at 9:15.
Wife worked in a flower bed. She is getting better at getting ranger out of barn by herself and using it to carry mulch.
Gave plants in garden a drink, since our big storms yesterday was a bust, less than .1”. I guess LS would love to get that much
Haircut tomorrow will prohibit an early start to anything.

so, it's been raining / wet for most of May, all of June (so far) ... today was beautiful and the local car cruise club that I belong to planned our first ice cream run for tonight.

Good morning. A mild night with a low of 6C. It's presently 17.2C, sparsely cloudy with a bit of a breeze. There was 1.5mm in the gauge this morning. That's all going to change tomorrow as the BoM is predicting high winds and 10-15mm of rain... we'll see.

Well, you guys keep talking about rain.... and you're gonna send some my way.... I'm anxiously waiting.....
There was another storm that formed just to the west and overhead of us..... and it just kept going east.... where it became a severe storm dumping a couple inches of rain and hail. Not a drop here!
Got a lot done outside, but still no finish to the project. Transplanted a couple more shrubs, fired up the drip irrigation, and made a few changes to the dripper flow rates. Then got the tractor out and mixed up a batch of our "planting mix". Filled up 3 large 32 gal containers and wet it all down. They will get transplants tomorrow.
Tomorrow's agenda will be to mix up another batch and fill another 3 containers, wifey will do the transplanting. These are smaller shrubs, so won't need the tractor to lift them. While she is transplanting, I'm hoping to get the landscape fabric put down and the mulch spread.... All I can say is I'm hopeful that it will be completed.... finally!
The knee started complaining early on, so had to take a bunch of breaks. That, and dehydration... I must have drank a gallon today and only released a half quart....
It's been so long since the appointment was made for the neuro specialist to look at the ongoing problem with the knee, I had to check the date.... still 6 weeks out... It's still swelling to almost twice it's size by the afternoon. Then the pain and weakness starts. I am so discouraged by this.....
Don, how is your knee replacement doing?
I hope PJ, Eric, and Ron would come back on....
