here's a good challenge
try to get an equipment trailer to go down the road quietly
There is a big potholed section of road right below my house and those landscaping trailers
are real noisemakers going by.
I used to oil the gate hinges religiously but it still rattled.

Fold down Don, don't want to have to pick up ramps.
On a previous trailer I installed those springs that lift up the ramps. Last trailer came with built in springs at the bottom.

The trailer for 2500 had 15 inch tires. Cheaper TSC one will have 13's.
12's or 13's can get eaten by local potholes. Worse, get them just off the road where the roadway
is washed away and drops a foot, and see how long your tire will last down there. Big tires are always good
and I'm not trying to save weight.

Funny, never had to worry about this in NC. Roads were glass smooth usually. You just had to stay out of the ditches.
Here in PA all you see are cars swerving all over the place, particularly with modern cars with low profile tires.
Low profile tires are a terrible idea in the North.

Are Texas roads smooth and well taken care of? Just curious, never got there...

68 and sunny clear sky, going to 93.

Kyle, sure hope you like the new job and the first day goes well.

I think yesterday was the first time I've cut firewood when it was 95F. I had a couple of storm damaged trees to finish cutting...now one more turn at the splitter and I hope to be done until cooler weather...phobes have started a second nest under the shelter, so it will be a few weeks before I can split.

Never could find a torsion spring to fit my 35 year old pole saw, so saw a nice Fiskars one in Costco last week...used it yesterday for an hour and am really impressed. Carried the cut branches to the brush pile in the FEL bucket, piled so high I couldn't see over them. Then bush hogged a couple of food plots since the clover seeds were mature...as were the oats, rye, and barley (and unfortunately, the weeds). Stopped as I entered the 3rd, largest food plot because a female quail flushed as I approached...need to determine if there is a nest, in which case I'll leave it alone.

Mostly, hope you're better today.

Sodamo, I didn't know you could do that much with an air fryer...sounds like a good idea.

Stay safe and be well,

Good Morning
It’s 63 with a high of just past 80 forecast. Cloudy skies, but rain not likely.

Yesterday was a hot one. Early morning trip to the Vineyard was a smooth one, but right into the sun while it was still low in the sky. With all the fancy equipment in the cockpit, you would think it would have sun visors…….
Trip to Greensboro was uneventful as well, had a nice ride home in the back of the plane with my partner, with the copilots for the flight down were in charge for the ride home. Definitely more comfy in the back.
When we got back to Philly, we all went to Mission BBQ for lunch, I still made it home by 2.
Neighbor called to borrow my Lazer as his had a flat tire. After he finished mowing, we fixed his tire. It was a tubeless tire and rim, but for some reason it had a tube in it. So we removed the tube, cleaned up the beads on the tire and rim, added a valve stem and it inflated and held air just fine.

Today, I’ll change the one tire on the progressive that the slime didn’t help. Also need to do some downspout repair on the shop as well as some other outdoor chores. I’d like to make some more progress on the mailbox as well.

Interesting day. FedEx delivered my Starlink kit late afternoon. Was tempted to set up in temp location but didn’t. Had the J mount ready to install, but not hole in wall for cable. Sitting in its permanent home. Need to do some clean up tomorrow and cable management only on the wifi network and rather impressive considering we aren’t a full service area. Will have to see if the outages are tolerable. Doubt they can be more frustrating than my AT&T service of late.

Congrats.
My AT&T seems to shut off every night around 9 pm

four times that cost now...

pretty easy to fix anything wrong on them. Just have to remember to grease the axle bearings once in a while.
I've used a lot of Rustoleum glossy black on trailers.
I liked idea of all aluminum trailer but that added several thousand to cost.
I bought my little 4x6 trailer at TSC, years ago - "CarryOn". It's not really big enough, but I have used the heck out of it. Did not get the "foldable" back gate, I hate they way they look stood up when not needed - grabbing all sorts of air, but use my home-made ramps only occasionally now... The gravel roads out here tear the paint off it. Rustoleum is my choice too.
