65°F and 5.88 inches rain. Still here, not floated away - yet
Forecast to ease up today.

Otherwise I suspect another energy conservation day.

Ophthalmologist office called yesterday for confirmation of my appointment next week. And payment for my Tori’s lens for left eye

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Heading to my GP this afternoon, been having seasonal allergies for weeks, well controlled with Nasacort. Then about four days ago the post nasal drip turned into a flood, then my throat got raw and ticklish. Now I have a bit of tightness in my bronchial area and right upper chest. I feel fine but with my history of sepsis and the old gator hanging around, I’m going to get tested and see what’s up.

53F and cloudy @ 12:30, heading up to a high of 57F for the day. Current soil temp 55F, 24-hour average temp 57.3F.

Got a good bit accomplished yesterday afternoon, unfortunately nap was not among things accomplished ... :(

Good amount of clean up done out in the garage, sweeping up dirt, load taken up in the dump cart to the shop, organizing and putting things away. Got most of the garden tools hung up on the wall.

Trimmed down a multi-flora rose out in the circle that covering a peony, Woman loaded cuttings into dump cart and took them up and put them on the burn pile. She also gathered up the short pieces of rebar that had been used to stake up the peonies. Made a count on the peonies out front and it looks like there are at least 8 that will need to be transplanted once I have the bed prepped on the west side of the frog pond.

New hoses cut to length for boom on sprayer.

About 2 gallons of glyphosate drained out of sprayer into a jug. Need to put that into a handheld sprayer today once I get it down off the top shelf out there.

Fiberglass stepladder brought around from the porch behind the kitchen.

Three pieces of chickenwire cut for plant guards and stapled down over black scallop ajuga in the northeast planting bed.

Trash in cab of van cleaned out, still need to give it a thorough cleaning inside though.

Thunderstorm rolled through last night and gave The Woman's dahlias a good watering. The last dahlia has finally sprouted.

Another 20 or so marigolds in the other tray have sprouted and broken through the soil this morning.

Woman reports that a hawk got down into the frog pond this morning and ended up drowning ... don't know what he was going after ... maybe one (or both) of the mallards ?

So I will have to fish him out and take him up to the burn pile before he gets to festering too badly. A bit disappointed that she did not wake me up or otherwise attempt to render assistance ... :(

Woman got into one of the spare bedrooms this morning that she has been using as "storage" and started straightening that up and organizing it. Unfortunately, she has not packed up anything for Goodwill yet ... but at least you can walk in there now ...

Hopper feeder is empty and needs refilled.

Check potted plants to see if any that were under the overhang need watered.

May do some glyphosate spraying with the handheld sprayer in a few areas.

Have a new handle that needs put on a square-nosed shovel now that I have the rivets to do it.

Need to get to mulching but looks like Sunday will be the earliest ... due to chances of rain in the forecast.

Hope everyone is having a productive Wednesday ... (y)

Look who decided to nap on me..

Probably won’t get test results till tomorrow. Dentist won’t look at my hurting tooth which I think is infected, but they haven’t called back.

Too hot, too early, Don. Didn't you feel those brambles chewing up your arms?
Of course I felt it - like little pin pricks, not worthy of stopping - I was focused and had no idea the briar was trying to bleed me out. Arms look used today. The baby aspirin does keep blood flowing.

Randy good news! The case of the vanishing tumor.

Turns out my wife took the home test a week ago today when she was first getting the symptoms, so maybe it was a little too early to show up. I was thinking she took it Friday.
