58F, wet, and cloudy @ 15:15, supposedly heading up to 65F with some sun later.

After we got back from the vets yesterday we brought Mister inside and let Squeak and Missy check him out so there wouldn't be any mystery on their part as to why he would no longer be around. Then we went out back at the edge of the lawn next to a big maple and dug a hole for Mister's final resting place, next to the grave of the little female beagle "Bitsy" and laid him to rest.

With that done figured it would be a good idea to get going and focus on some other stuff so I made up another container of potting soil and we got the last five of The Woman's new dahlias planted in their grow pots. Also potted the one that She previously had dug out and over-wintered in the laundry room.

Since the danger of frost appears to be past at this point, The Woman worked on moving plants out of the garage into the front where they can get some sun and rain. Still have a bunch more in the house that we need to move out. Probably work on that later this afternoon.

Got the hand sprayer loaded with the Neem oil solution and brought The Woman's hibiscus outside and got those sprayed down for pests.

Then we headed around to the planting bed outside the kitchen window and were going to try and get the new Orienpet lily bulbs planted. The bed needed some work done and cleaned up so She worked on weeding and I hauled the leaves and debris up to the compost pile a couple of time and returned with screened compost to amend the soil. Worked some of that in with the cultivator head on the FS 66.

Got a short length of gutter over there which had been overflowing cleaned out.

Grass in front needs cut ... but it will have wait for a few days until it dries up some.

Have around a dozen tomato plants up from seeds now, and the five cucumbers which are looking strong:

Also about 10 winter squash (two varieties) now up as well.

I think the zucchini and yellow crook neck are in pots outside, not sure any have popped yet ... probably due to cooler temps out there. Will move those inside after we move some planter pots outside and make some in the dining room in front of the sliding glass door.

Will make another trip up with the Cub and collect another dump cart of screened compost to make up more potting soil then see about getting the rest of the asparagus and strawberries potted.

Unclear whether The Woman will be allowed to assist on any of this ... as She is obviously tied up with much more important duties currently:

Hope everyone is a having a great day ... (y)

Wet day by the time I got home...so, no tires in the outbuilding today. Driving across the lawn would likely leave impressions considering how wet it was.
Frankly, I was too tired anyway...went to bed about 1930, was up by 2230 or thereabouts. Getting back to sleep...well, a lot of tossing and turning.
I guess crappy sleep is a part of aging...does suck though.
Good thing about aging...if it ain't done today, no big deal...tomorrow ia another day, eh?

Randy(Buppies), I hope you get good news from the doctor. It gets tiresome after a while. I’m going Monday to have another squamous cell removed from leg, about 2” from the big one removed in January. I’m hoping they are not directly connected.

Did you put a lien on it for your garage build labor?
I thought about it, but felt it would just make matters worse.
My second thought was to just keep it as ammunition if needed should any problems arise, which is the current plan.

His brother put a mechanics lien on the beloved Jeep. He spent almost 60 hours (after work hours) installing new axles, driveline, rebuilding the transfer case, and a complete long arm suspension kit. He got his tools and welders thrown over the fence..... I don't blame him for filing the lien.....

Bird..... you have to stop chasing each other around the house....😮😳

Buppies and Toppop, prayers sent.... good luck at the Drs.

Roy, I feel for 'ya..... I wish and hope for a good nights sleep almost daily. I'll let you know if I find a solution.....

The son had 2 jobs cancelled today, so he was just on call.... which allowed him to help put up a few sections of fencing. The front half of the property is now complete. Only 10 more sections to do over by the parking area.
Here's a few pics:

In the first pic, I spotted a smoke plume... one of the 5 wildfires in the state. Here's a zoomed in pic:

Apparently there are quite a few new fires that have started in Arizona and Texas also. A really fast moving large fire around Flagstaff. The wind tomorrow is going to make this worse for sure!

Time to go put the knee up....
