Good morning, low temp is 12 and going to a high of 27°F. Wind NNE 5 mph. Cloudy.

Now that the US president has cut off all oil trade with Russia, maybe OPEC will step up their exports and we can get back to more reasonable fuel prices.

I have a 'V' plow out on the scrap steel pile that was made for a Farmall A that I am going to try and adapt to the Kioti with the help of a SSQA. IF it works then I will have another tool in my box for fighting/plowing the snow. I expect that next winter we will be getting the really big dumps of snow that we missed out on these past 2 winters.
Optimistic cuss aren't I?

There is nothing on the books for me today, so I will conserve energy.

Have a safe day all

25° right now...high in the upper 40's. Snow tonight (maybe) and tomorrow (definitely)...3-6 (or 8) predicted and it's going to be a wet snow...

Stepdaughter and her daughter here from Florida. I hope they brought clothing appropriate for the weather here.

Anther stepdaughter coming Monday...she lives in Gillette, Wyoming...she'll be used to the weather and temperatures

All told, that'll be 5 women (all related by blood) and one me...might be an interesting week. All the firearms have been unloaded and stowed...

I guess our National Weather Service forecasters are covering all the bases today. It says Denton is 33° going for a high of 34° with a 70% chance of rain, sleet, or snow today and 24° tonight with a 50% chance of the same precipitation.🤣 But then it's supposed to clear off an warm up tomorrow.

good morning all
looks like a nice day in sunshine with high of 58 today. Quite a switch from Saturday when cold weather really returns plus
now 1-3 inches of snow. And then Spring arrives with much warmer weather. So maybe one more snow. Maybe, still early...

got my routine lab tests back already. LDH, which measures a form of cell activity in the body, came back on low end. It's when LDH goes high
that the worries start, means body is working overtime against something. They don't know if it's cancer, but it's the canary in the mine that says
go investigate more. Low is good.

Doug, glad you got your tractor unstuck. I've never gotten a tractor stuck but sure have buried some lawn mowers in my time.
I've seen youtube videos, mostly overseas, where folks pull the front end right off their tractor applying too much force. Now that would sure be a bad day.
Nice when you can just hose it all away.

I really want to buy a new suv today. That could get me in trouble...I want the Genesis GV70 with the four cylinder motor, 300hp is plenty. Was named SUV of the year
last year, so impossible to find. 45k, not crazy priced. Kind of like Kia Telluride the previous year. Note both are South Korean. The GV70 is built on the chassis of the sedan I now drive, and it
is both quiet and handles well. One dealer says he has 11 of them, I'm sure it's fake just to get folks to call. I really need the larger suv door opening due to my fused neck.

I don't particularly like my local Genesis dealer so am looking further afield. But one of the benefits is 3 years of valet service, meaning they come pick up my car, leave a loaner and bring it back. Living alone, this would be super helpful to me. But further dealers might not offer that. Plus I severely object to paying over list price. Which is why I've gotten nowhere...

time for second coffee and breakfast.

30 and frosty again this morning...should melt soon on the way to 63.

BEF, good luck on that land.

Buppies, prayers that new growth isn't cancer.

Alien, glad you got your tractor out.

Roasted 3 batches of coffee Wednesday...drinking one of them now...close to perfect for my tastes.

My sweet wife had the ladies here for yoga and lunch yesterday, so I headed up the mountains to hike over The Pinnacles to Mary's Rock. Hiked past one of the many huts/shelters found on the Appalachian Trail...this one is named Byrd's Nest #3...a pretty stone building, donated by Harry Flood Byrd, Sr. The Byrd family was a very powerful Virginia political family a while back...father and son held numerous positions including governor and senator. Byrd was instrumental in getting Shenandoah National Park established back in the 1930s.

Still very much winter there, but saw some beautiful, huge saucer magnolias blooming on the way.
