good morning all
28 going up to 50 today in clouds.

having lunch with a friend from church and then going to bank to make me a legal signer on accounts.
Am having second thoughts about this position. Most folks have been super supportive of me. A few folks
aren't and have made the experience much less fun that it could be.
This includes one fellow who refused to vaccinate or mask and comes in and sits down near the children.
And then gaslights us all constantly over his search for faith and why we have it all wrong and only he understands the truth.
Not sure how to handle it, getting some help from others, we are all tired of the contentiousness. Not our way...

I'm pretty sure I won't stay in this position past June. Never wanted it, only trying to help.

It's March, yeah. Spring is coming.

it's too bad dieselgate hurt the future of diesel cars so much.
Folks have been burning all kinds of fuel in diesels and now Audi is saying let's burn used vegetable oil.
30% higher cetane. Better cold starting.

When you think of all the fast food restaurants with deep fryers, there must be a huge amount of waste oil available.
Besides, exhaust often smells like popcorn, though too much of that might be a bit much in a big traffic jam.
Pass the butter, pass the salt...

26 going to 62. Lots of daffodils to welcome the first day of meteorological spring, as my wife likes to claim...I tell her she is rushing it, we'll probably get more snow, and spring comes on the equinox. 😁

BEF, sorry about your wife's relative. I know what you mean about having someone pass away far from home. My 1st cousin was hiking the trail up Machu Picchu with his adult son and died. His son had to arrange to bring his dad's body home from Peru while dealing with the grief.

Don, great pix from the trip...nice itinerary. I hope the plant-based diet was just as tasty as you make it.

Did some more storm clean up and cut firewood yesterday. The ground was finally dry enough to take the tractor over to the magnolia, where I trimmed broken branches as big as 7 inches in diameter. Used the grapple to carry 5 big loads to the brush pile.

Put the chain saw away once temps hit 60, and then decided to get out of the "heat" and roast coffee...roasted a "honey processed" Honduran, so looking forward to trying it in a couple of days.

I thanked the Lord I was wearing steel toe boots yesterday when I got a little careless with the chainsaw. Inside the cut, I can see where the metal was scratched.

Good Morning.
It’s 32, and might make it to 50.

Feels good to be sitting at home, even if it’s just for a day. Didn’t get much done yesterday, it was dinner time when I got home.
I was greeted by a letter from Philadelphia with photo evidence that I entered an intersection .6 seconds after the light turned red.
But for the mere sum of $100 they will forgive my egregious transgression. I wonder if this is about revenue or safety……..

Nothing planned for today, other than going out to breakfast and getting some paperwork done. Tomorrow I get to see such scenic places as Islip, and Grove City. But then I’m done for a while.

Drew it is interesting to have a dissenter in meeting, most gatherings for worship, regardless of denomination, are attended by like minded congregants. Even though the Quaker way is one of tolerance, it isn’t often tested. I’m sure that you will find a path forward.

Morning all 28 going up to 52 and cloudy.
Stress test done, now to wait for Dr. and schedule follow up.

I have not been to a dairy queen since I was a teen, since I am lactose intollerant, no Ice cream place for me, or most restaurants/fast food places etc.

Wngsprd - wow, lots of people keep reminding me to wear boots and chaps! I have a pair of jeans I like to wear when using the larger saw, is has a rip from the chain and reminds me to use the chaps!

Drew - I find people like that take real good to very cumbersome detailed "projects". Keep them busy and keep telling them how important the "project" is and that should keep them out of your way.

Stay safe and be well,
Below is Victoria falls on the Zambezi river.
This is the river where we were in rubber rafts and had a hippo go after us.
We got to watch baboons raid the dining room of our hotel and get chased out by broom wielding wait staff.
We were asked if we wanted to bungy jump off a bridge down into the gorge, passed on that.
One night their were banded mongoose on the little bridge to get to the dinning room, when they hissed at us we understood dinner for us would be late.......
