Good morning, low temp is -14 and high to -4°F. Wind N 14 gusting to 23 mph. Sunny.

With the one chain missing on the steering axle, I just kicked it out of 4 WD and kept on plowing. I have the chain and a second one as well. It just needs to warm up enough for me to put it on.

Neighbour lady asked me if I could spread 40 tons of pit run gravel in the spring, down a hill with a 45° slope. I told her no. She really needs a small dozer to do the job and somehow thinks my little tractor is one. There is no room to maneuver and only an 8' foot hole to go through.

I saw on the news yesterday that ALL truck drivers that cross the International border, Canada to US and back must be triple vaccinated by this weekend or they will be spending 5 days in quarantine when they come back into Canada. The lady that visits the DIL got her all wound up, saying that ALL truck drivers (of which I am one) must be vaccinated. I told her that I am regional (meaning that I don't leave the province), she insisted that I had to be done. I checked with my boss and I don't have to be done, but I will look into a second shot.
I guess some people would call me a hermit, but I don't think so. I go out regularly to take son to town and to North Bay. I am just not sociable other than online.
I have a large circle of friends, spread all over Ontario, some in Alberta and one in Croatia. I just don't see them very often in winter due to the fact that I never go farther away than North Bay.

I think today will be an energy conservation day.

Stay safe all

33° going to 39° then turn colder.
Latest weather app still says 4”.

NWS saying 5-9" with ice afterwards and 40 mph winds.

Then the NWS puts out a map showing it may go west of here.

We’ll find out.

30° right now...high in the low 30's today.
Another bitterly cold night ahead...-9° is the predicted low tonight...4° is the predicted high for tomorrow.
Dump run this morning, since the transfer station is closed tomorrow (MLK day).
I'm actually on vacation today to take care of some chores. Stepdaughter is visiting friends until Monday, so it's just wifey, Margeaux and I

34 high of 49 light showers last night. Low pressure is showing slight movement to east and if that continues more people close to I95 will get sno. Looks to be a nice winter storm

Waiting on coffee to finish brewing. 28° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 21° with cloudy skies. Already seen high temperature for day. Grocery shopping went OK. Some items were missing. But good substitutes in its place. Local community had a boil alert posted. So nothing available in freshly cooked areas. Power went out shortly after getting home from shopping. Power company was updating equipment a short distance from my place. Whole house generator ran as it should. Checked out voltage with new meters. All numbers looked good.

Wngsprd, thanks for bird ID.

Don, I looked up Eddies Covid thread. 12/21/20.

Buckeye & Drew, all deliveries to my place are recorded by my Ring cameras. It's amazing how many never look up from their Smartphone or whatever they have in their hand. Then drop the package when they think they have arrived at the correct place to leave package. I report the one that are not left at my back porch. The ones that bug me that most are left on in a place so door cannot be opened with moving package.

Kyle, prayers your Mom gets better.

Buckeye, hope you son just has a cold.

Thomas, working long hours is something I do not miss from when I was working.

Looking, stay warm.

Bird, send some of that warmth up north.

Riptides, I watched all the fruit trees on my place die. They all died over a 10 year period. Some were storm damaged.

Everyone stay safe and healthy.

Good Morning All

Good morning! 38˚F mostly sunny, south wind heading to the mid 70s the warmest day this week.
The Dr. x-rayed my knee yesterday in the one month visit and everything looked good and no restrictions but he said I had skinny knees and should be able to do 130˚ flex instead of 120˚ flex. Egore will be happy. Next Dr. visit is in two months so I have time to get flexed.

Bird, the Dr. said he put in a Stryker Triathalon knee.

Worked on cleaning the yard up yesterday, so today I will get the frost kill out of the garden. Yesterday I also took Whipper for a mile walk on a new trail and she was happy. I did skip the tanning at the pool because 72 with a slight wind was too cold.

Roy I hope your wife's physical therapy is progressing so she is independent, if not I can lend her Egore.
