32° right now...high in the mid-30's and a 40% chance of snow showers this morning.
Going to talk the wifey and stepdaughter about making a dump run today or tomorrow.
Don't think I have any meetings today, except our daily one at 0730. That would be nice...

Drinking first cup of hot coffee. 19° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 37° with clouds in afternoon. Now that I have work bench cleaned up. I am ready to work on other projects. Problem cannot find parts I bought for a LED project on back porch. Still have a couple more places to look before starting too empty each shelf and cabinet. May be a good time to clean them out. USPS must be run by a bunch of people like me. I ordered some Meds that Vet wanted for Sassy on Friday from Amazon. So far it has be transferred to 7 different facilities. 2 of them were my local post office. Neighbor was at local Pharmacy and picked up the meds for me yesterday. Need to cancel Amazon order.
Yesterday Sunrise and Sunset produced some great color. I got this Sunrise picture from my kitchen window.

Alien, good news on things coming together before Christmas.

David, i would like to see a phone mount with grabbers on all 4 edges of phone. I like WeatherTechs holder even though it only grabs 3 sides of phone. WeatherTech

Buppies, Don, Randy and others recovering. Hope you get better soon.

Rich, thanks again for your report on last year's hospitals stay.

Everyone stay healthy and safe.

Good Morning All.

Just today our first Covid omicron variant was reported in the county.

Bird, my mom said the same thing that her incision was not that long. My Aunt had her's done in November I'll have to ask her how long her incision was. Mine is 8" long do you have a measurement on the length of your incision?
Less than 5 inches.

Don, you asked Ron Hall how long his wife's PT was. I had a daily (5 days a week) home therapist visit for 3 weeks, then I went to a physical therapy place about 5 miles from the house 3 days a week for another month. Very nice guy who came to the house and a pregnant female drill sergeant want-to-be at the physical therapy office, but she knew her business.

good morning all.
24 going up to warmer 46 today in clouds

nothing like a huge pile of gravel to contemplate moving around Doug, looks like a fun job for you. And it will finish things off nicely and keep your
new building cleaner.

I've been invited to my closest friends home over Christmas to see his family, his two kids, one of whom is my godchild, and four grandchildren.
Staying healthy and safe is a challenge. I think I'll mask up even if none of them do.
I'm around a bunch of folks this week. The idea of me being an unknowing carrier and getting that whole family sick is worrisome.

I wonder if the stock market will crash again today. Covid is fear and fear drives the market down. We need more greed. Not really...

RNG, how far away was the snow from you? I know you got lots of rain, which is great. Maybe filling up that Oroville Dam too quickly is not
such a great idea. Took a while for it to get empty...

RS, do you have a nice garden gift for your wife for Christmas?
You can't go making her a sheet cake and say that's it... ;)

My oldest brother's son is doing the least well of all of us and while I sent him a big box of local apples a few weeks ago,
he is the one person I would give cash. But I made it an Amazon gift card.

There is an odd and perhaps old fashioned belief stuck inside me that money should be earned, not given. But once earned, and then given, well that is the spirit of the
holidays and birthdays. And if that money goes to local food bank in honor of someone, or buys a quarter of a heifer for some poor farm family, that
seems like a pretty good thing too. But most little kids sure don't want half a sheep...they want the latest Call of Duty or some virtual reality headset.

I like to give books at Christmas. Seems both a temporary and lasting gift.

We have so much already. Anyone else feel that way?
When one's family keeps saying to each other, we don't know what to get for you, well likely a sign you all
don't need much and should be charitable instead.
That's the meaning of CHRISTmas to me. Think about who holiday was named after and what it means to each of us.
Otherwise it just becomes/has become a giant merchandising event.

Buppies, Santa will bring you good news today.

21 outside this AM, heading to mid 40's. Is chilly. LOL.

That's some nice work, Alien. Need more pictures please.

Fingers crossed Buppies! Good luck, just keep the positive attitude.

David, I hold my phone in my pocket. On the M, it stays in the cab, which has a holder. That's the problem. I always leave it there. Never fails.

It's more than covid driving the market, IMHO, Drew. Could be the past decades worth of monetary policy too. What goes up, you know. In any case....I still bet on America. At least for another ten years. LOL.

Plumber came by yesterday, more thousands of dollars worth of work to replace sump pumps, filters and move an outside pressure tank. Today I will go to the hardware store and see if I can at least accomplish replacing some filters.
Gosh, the labor pricing is just outrageous. But that's what the market dictates.

Hope all have a great day. Be safe.

26 going to 46. Happy Solstice today!

Those are quite the operations, Buppies and Don. Prayers said for healing and for your report today, Buppies. Don, my wife says her mom's knee replacement has a scar about 5 or 6 inches. All of her mobility returned.

That's quite a long trip, BEF. Glad you're home safe.

Got a nice long hike done yesterday, and got some seat time moving a pallet of firewood to replenish the porch. Even using the pallet system, I have to remove and restack each piece onto the porch rack. If I was as smart as RNG, I'd manufacture narrow steel racks with wheels that I could maneuver through the door and roll across the porch into position. It was like I was driving a shiny new tractor after giving it a good bath last week.

Morning all, 23 going up to 44- winter has set in, ground is crunchy
Got shelves cut and stained. The one board is only enough for 2 shelves since they are a bit wide at 14 1/8"

We got our third notice that our son was in the same room with someone at school who had Covid. This has been an emotional week. They have walked more than one student out of school in our district for talking about doing bad things. I read over in NJ it was a daily occurrence last week. I think all the news being owned by few people and being so sensationalist and polarized is wreaking havoc on their minds.

Alien - all done for Christmas- very nice and gravel too.

Buppies - hope biopsy comes back clean for you- Would make an excellent Christmas present

Stay safe and be well,

No snow in the 10 day.
Soon there will be a house behind these trees. New neighbor starts the foundation dig in April.
