Apparently you can teach an old dog new tricks. All done training with a new type rating on my certificate.
Packing up to fly home now. 4 of us came out together, waiting for the others to get finished their check rides.
Decent weather at home with a tailwind to help us get there. Looks like Wichita to Philly will be about 2:30.

Didn’t realize yesterday was National Pot Pie Day. The Costco chicken Pot pie was not only appropriate, but delicious. Unlike the frozen one’s I grew up with this was loaded with chicken. They must have a good source.

Check out the wall panel I glued up yesterday and then make up 2nd set for the sliding door. Get started on the actual installation.

Game cam to pattern bear/bears movement.
Of all the things I try keeping certain bears away wind chimes work the best.

Costco has stealth cam $20 off ($80) so I picked up another one.

surge protectors are the best. Even the low joule ones work. Though not with a direct hit like Randy's. Then the low joule ones pop in a hurry.
Worse is when they fail and let the current through anyway.
Remember that it's not just the one big one that wipes out your well pump or your microwave, it's
the cumulative trauma of every day surges. Like when your hvac compressor kicks on and off, sending ripples through
the system. I have a well pump that dims the lights every time it comes on. And every time it cycles it sends a surge through
the system, affecting everything plugged in. After a couple thousand of those, the tubes in your prized MacIntosh amplifier may
dim a final time...

and be careful with Amazon Basics surge strips. Some bad history of them catching on fire.
Tripplite is my favorite.

All the batteries are dead in my 3 cyber power UPSs. Now the are just surge protectors, I keep forgetting to replace batteries, thanks for reminder.

That is rather amazing that you got a Kubota for less than an LS, David.

I agree. Totally surprised. These 2 companies are similarly situated with main office on Oahu with neighbor island presence. I have to think their shipping situation are same, so any price difference would come to the machines and in house charges. I think the new LS dealer is facing a potentially costly learning curve. The Kubota dealer surely doesn’t have a reputation for being price friendly.
Didn’t really want to change colors, but a new factor crept into the decision process, will the $1000 more machine today still be worth more down the road. As much as I love my LS, the answer wasn’t yes.
