91, just came in from mowing lawn, dripping wet
Mowed it as low as I could, which in my case is a 2.75 setting to clear most of the roots and lawn IEDs.
Looks nice, keeps forage supply down for deer, let them dine elsewhere.

Used the little Makita string trimmer for awhile, battery lasted fine but line remained thin, short and wimpy.
But as I said I should have bought the next bigger one but went for lightweight only.
Seems like you only get 2 inches of line, I'm used to a lot more.
It had bump advance but that seemed to accomplish little, slightly lowered pitch of wizzing.
Long lines have lower tones, this was a high pitched wizzer

Lou - 1096 - 1100 gallon tank- or was just that empty?
No, I have several tanks.
A 275 gallon for blended winter fuel,
a 275 gallon for summer #2 fuel,
then a 275 gallon heating oil tank in the basement crawl space,
and a buried 1000 gallon heating oil tank,
then my 300 gallon portable.
The crawl space tank hadn't been used for several years,so I used it this spring so as to get fresh fuel in it,
then I also emptied my summer fuel tank as it hadn't been drained in a few years.
So the fuel company filled my 1000 and my 300 after I had put the oil from the tractor tank into the 1000.
So right now my summer tank is empty and my winter blend tank is 1/2 full, I'll be filling my 275 summer tank out of the 300 portable.

My situation is that I can not get a fuel truck up my driveway once we get snow many years so I keep enough on hand when I fill in the fall for the next year.

68°F and .14 inches rain. Could be another good day for mowing.

Need to go to town and PO at some point.

Follow up on my flail Kevlar belts. As promised, the company replaced them. In fact they replaced the whole order of 6 belts and sent via UPS instead of USPS. Sure can’t fault that CS.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

My two anti-vac friends have covid. They still stand by their decision not to be vaccinated. Their symptoms are mild and their friend, a county commissioner, who was vaccinated was a breakthrough case and is on a ventilator with an induced coma. They also stated that their immunity is now better than vaccinated and I cannot argue with that seeing the numbers of breakthrough cases compared to people getting covid the second time.

88F and partly cloudy @ 14:00, headed up to a high of ... 86 ???

Calling for some scattered thunderstorms, but it's only a 44% chance.

Neighbor turned up this morning around 11:00 with his JD and said "You ready to move some dirt before it starts raining ?" (We had discussed this yesterday after I helped him move the fallen tree)

Sure, why not ?

So he's been digging out the pile and breaking it up for the last 3 hours while I have been ferrying it down to the barn. Goes much quicker when there's two people working on it ... (y)

Don't know if we'll get it finished today, but we'll make a big dent in it at any rate.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe day.

39 turkeys Thomas? Thanksgiving could come early...

Coffee is done brewing. 69° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 82° with partly cloudy skies. Helped neighbors that needed repairs from Wednesday's storms. One was a TT that tree fell on. Just a temporary until they can get it in for a proper fix. Total rain from Tuesday and Wednesday storms was 2.24". Dr Appointment this morning. Then mow grass.

93F full sun not even slight breeze has that smell hot haven't seen bird fly by last couple of hours, about 24 hours from now lower humidity and temp.

Change blades on both and give bath rider mowers than sharpen and sharpen blades, guess I better order couple sets of blades and oil filters this for next year avoid maybe wait time.
While filling pickup and gas can lawn mowing service gentleman said he had 2 gas cans 1 leaf blower and trimer stolen from his trailer as he and worker was mowing lawn   the trailer was park just inside driveway, what the heck wrong with those knot heads doing such things, than I remember what Randy went thru. :(

After date night looks like on the deck feet up waiting for the stars, kinda wish the deck was screen in good chance the recliner and pillow would make nice sleeping spot. :)

Enjoy your evening all.

Today was a clean-up day.

Big wind storm went through last night. TV says wind gusts got to 70mph.

We had quite a few branches down - thankfully, most were already dead. We fared better than some as you can see many trees damaged as you drive to town.

Had to cut most of the branches and haul to the burn pile. Took around 6 hours. Not hard work but slow and steady work. Had to do it alone as son #1 is in Colorado for a friends wedding and son #2 was at work.

My sons dog followed me around the whole time. He is a good dog. Black lab.

Thankfully, the temps were in low 80s today as the wind storm was due to a cold front moving through.

Pretty much cleaned up now. Place us ready to be mowed tomorrow - hopefully if no more rainfall.

Have a great weekend all!
