Alien, Jim Shooz, Eric, do you guys have a "Father's Day" over there? If not, you can share ours tomorrow.

We never got any rain. Radar showed lots of rain to our west, next time I checked it was gone. NWS even posted on FB how far off the prediction was. I did see a storm down near Baltimore once. Humidity is at 95% now.

Happy Birthday Ron! Hope you had a great day.
Figures, they finally make a holiday on your Birthday after you are retired.

We celebrate Fathers Day in September. I think it's 9 months before Mothers day:love::love:
That can go both ways as far as gift pricing range. LOL. The wifey and I have migrated to picking our own gifts, and mother's/father's day is the time we get them...as long as they don't cost too much......

I learned something today about NZ holidays.

Yes Kyle we do have a fathers day here (thanks for the offer) but I don't see much of my girls now. One lives in Cairns and is pretty much disabled now with spina bifida and the other one lives in a town about a half hour away. She recently remarried and has a LOT of trouble with the husbands kids. Constantly kicked out of school etc.
So she at least phones me. The one in Cairns doesn't own a phone anymore. My wifes' kids are more family to me now. All grown ups and 3 boys and a girl.
I do hear from my grand kids and great grand kids though. :)
I don't ever get any gifts though :(
Mothers day 2nd Sunday in May. Fathers day 1st Sunday in September. (I had to look them up)

54° right now...high in the low 80's today...

Yesterday was an R&R day, so today I'll need to actually do some work. Definitely the belts are on the agenda...

Up too early on a weekend, so back to bed shortly

Roy, I've wondered what folks do if the batteries run down on a riding EGO mower. How hard would it be to push or tow it to where your charger is, or can you remove and charge one battery to just enough to get it home? I don't know.

Happy Birthday, Ron.

And Happy Father's Day to all you dads. Our 2 daughters, granddaughter, and son-in-law all supposed to be here after church and bringing dinner with them.:) I'm not supposed to know it yet, but the granddaughter has tried her hand at making a cheesecake, which she knows is my favorite.

Poured first cup of coffee. 58° cloudy skies. Heading to 85° with mostly cloudy skies. Had a great day yesterday. RV friends birthday party was great. Had so many calls on phone I just about wore my ear off. Neighbors brought me enough food to last a week. Also got do Facetime with GGD. Her birthday was yesterday also. Off to sons place to celebrate Father Day today.

Thanks everyone for Birthday wishes.

Buckeye, sorry you got mooned yesterday. Around June 24th I hope to give a full Moon to you.:LOL:

Jim, now I remember why our oldest son was born on Mothers Day. ;)

Great pictures posted.

Prayers and best wishes for everyone.

Happy Fathers Day for all.

Good Morning All.

I'm sure you could pull one or two of the batteries, take 'em to the charging station, and get the mower back to the house.
With the fast charger, it takes about 20 minutes to charge a battery (although a full charge probably wouldn't be necessary)
If I recall, the zero-turn uses 4 7.5Amp/hour batteries, but can use the recently introduced 10 amp/hr batteries.
In my circumstances, the EGO zero-turn just isn't a good choice, but for those with lawns 1½-2 acres, it might be a viable alternative. It would not be a viable alternative for the commercial lawn maintenance companies
The EGO zero-turn has a 42" deck....that would be too small for my mowing. My Deere ZTR has a 60" deck which works great and no scalping.

I do use an EGO snow blower...one of the older ones that is not self propelled. This unit uses 2 (7.5 amp/hour) batteries, but works quite well with just one. I use this unit for the walkways (total about 40-50 feet) and does a great job up to about 6" (bit less if it's a wet heavy snow).

All told, most of my lawn equipment (string trimmer, leaf blower, snow blower, chain saw and pole saw) are EGO brand. Easy to maintain, no mixing of gas and oil. These work really well for the residential work I do
