We had friends over for dinner last night, Bundt pan meatloaf using Stovetop stuffing for the filler with mashed potatoes and gravy in the center, best meatloaf ever! Father in law came by today so we had leftovers for lunch.
I think we’ve decided to go to Chincoteague tomorrow, our motivation is a bit weak today. Dog, cats and wife are all napping right now and I could join them any time.
Was supposed to pick up the 12” landscape staples from Lowe’s yesterday, but still not in today. Filled the tractor with fuel and now I need to refill the cans. I still haven’t gotten a fuel transfer pump. Those 5-6 gallon cans are getting heavier every time I lift them.
83 with low humidity and a nice breeze, loving it.

Thanks for the reminder about getting a pump for my diesel cans. Weight doesn’t bother me as much as my inability to pour diesel into the NH without making a mess. Seems to be beyond my technical capability.

FWIW, and I've mentioned it before here, but the Harbor Freight transfer pump I bought in 2011 is still going strong (I better knock on wood). Even though it's a bit more expensive, the truck holds 38 gallons of over the road Diesel, so I just pull up to the truck, hook up the hoses and power cord, and pump. I had to make an adapter for the intake line to use something small enough to get past Ford's anti-theft in the tank neck, but that's the only hitch I've found so far.

Good afternoon! 70˚F cloudy. No rain today and only .4" yesterday. My neighbor had to cancel his trip to Laredo because I35 was flooding down South.

Went shopping in three stores, all different signage for mask.
1. Target - no signage. 50% customers wore mask, all employees wore mask
2. Natural Foods - old, outdated CDC sign requiring all to wear mask. 80% customers wore mask, all employees wore mask.
3. Academy - sign saying employees are wearing mask and strongly recommended customers wear mask. 60% customers wore mask and all employees wore mask.

Our CA came out with a new mask policy starting Monday inside their buildings (fitness center, card room, Ballroom, etc)- Mask are Optional.

did a fair amount of work outside today, happy with the way things turned out, but
pretty sure it will be an uncomfortable night. Even sitting here in sling my shoulder is throbbing.

Good Morning
It’s 65 heading to 85 today, another day with clear skies.

Yesterday, got a lot done in the shop, picked up another load of mulch in the dump trailer, and spent some time with grandson enjoying the weather.
Today will likely be Groundhog Day except for picking up mulch and voting.

I’m very much a dog person, and have always had a dog as a companion. There is no explaining the bond between a dog and the human that it chooses. And the elephant in the room is that a very sad day will come, because we almost always outlive them. My Emily is a very young 8, but in the back of my mind I know that day will likely come much sooner than I would like. So I enjoy every day with her and ignore the elephant in the corner.

Such a true statement, however if you die first, a dog has trouble dealing with it and understanding why you haven't come home and will pine for you. At least, even though it hurts like heck, we understand what has happened. It seems the best way to me. It was a 4th anniversary of one of our dogs passing yesterday and we never forget the love he gave us.

If I know that I did something to agitate my arm. I try to be proactive and take a couple of Tylenol before going to bed. You may already be doing this.

I have so seldom used my cell phone camera that I've forgotten how to move a photo from the cell phone to anywhere else. but . . . .

I know we've gotten a lot of rain the last 3 days and now a sunny day today, although still a puddle in the front yard and a little after 2 p.m. there was a pair of Mallard ducks in our front yard. I have no idea where they came from, but when I walked out there to within 10 or 12 from them, and snapped a few pictures with my cell phone, they just ignored me.
