Good morning!!!!

The other day I surprised a gray fox sniffing at the shipping container door. I hear it barking in the night, so it was unusual to see it in mid day. It barked at me before it ran off; probably wasn't happy to be caught out like that.

The deer were back under the solar panels yesterday, laying right on top of the deer repellent I'd spread the day before. Maybe I'm supposed to wet it down? I'll have to dig up the instructions, or maybe file for a refund.

Both lizards are now climbing up my leg to beg for a meal worm, even when I don't have any. That'll be interesting once I start wearing shorts again...

Just be sure they know which meal worm is which!

Good Morning
It’s 52 with a high of 78 expected. Possible thunderstorms this evening.

Yesterday’s trip was more of an adventure than it needed to be. Trip southbound was typical, but the return wasn’t. We usually come straight up over the Atlantic, making landfall around Wilmington,NC, and that was the clearance we received, heading northeast to join an Atlantic route. About 100 miles off shore they shut down the overwater routes and turned us back inland to follow the coast northeast. The irony was that the majority of the weather was inland. Here’s what it looked like.

At any rate we got to where we were going and were less than a half hour behind schedule, was able to over or around weather, so while it was frustrating, I guess I shouldn’t whine.

More speaker orders, so I’ll be in the shop today and the rest of the week. One of the perks of the sort of traveling that I’ve done, is that I’ve gotten to see a lot of North America, and I’ve taken a lot of pictures along the way. Here’s one of the approach to Aspen, CO. If you look hard, you can see the runway.

Good morning, no tornadoes like BEF, wind is certainly gusting strong though, stripping lots of new fresh green leaf off the oak trees.

Jackdaws are appreciating the rain showers, it seems to improve their chances of finding a tasty grub when they flick over dried sheep poop. One of them kept looking up at me each time it walked to a new potential snack, almost as if it was inviting me to guess if there would be anything underneath.

RNG Not sure how much rebar you will have sticking out of the ground, if it is a short piece you could consider welding a short piece of bar horizontal across the top to make it more noticeable - kinder too in case someone should ever fall on it.

Here is a picture. Not sure it shows much.

Thanks, Ron. I think what I see there is that you've ground a step in the nose of the positioning finger. Does the bulge on the left side of the finger contact the teeth that point in the other direction?

70 headed to 87 today, some cooler days late week.

Plan is to mow grass today and maybe spray, but that might be another day depending on my stamina.

Nurse was just here to check me out, I must be feeling better because I noticed she was kind of cute!

Well I’d better see what I can get into, have a good day.

The survey stakes are far enough apart to not be visible from one to the other, mainly because the ground is so steep. The surveyors suggested the rebar, sized so a piece of 3/4" PVC can be slipped over the 6" or so of rebar sticking out of the ground. The PVC is 10' long, tall enough to be seen from the stakes before and after it. The wooden stakes, which stick up about 18", will remain in place. But I've already noticed that some of them are leaning, as if something has bumped into them. If someone falls on one of the rebars, they'd also be falling onto one of the wooden stakes, and they'd also be trespassing, right?

I like the idea of a stake pounder, Bill, just not sure pipe would strike a heavy enough blow. Might have to weld a chunk of steel to the end to beef it up. We'll see what the scrap bins have to offer. Thanks!

Morning all.

Woke up to rain and low 60’s. Supposed to stay that way much of the day.

It’ll be an inside day for me and my wife and the kitty.

I tried to get the kitty to like me more yesterday while my wife was at work. It was good - he crawled up on my chest and let me pet him. He even did his roll thing so I’d rub his belly.

I was feeling good.

Then, my wife gets home and comes inside and kitty jumps off me and runs to her meowing like she’d been gone a month!!

Of well - at least I’m #2. Don’t ask if there is a #3.

Have a safe one today.

Have all of you in the USA received a letter from President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. in the past week? Just yesterday, May 3, 2021, we got a letter from the:

Department of the Treasury
Internal Revenue Service
Austin, TX 73301-0003

It's a letter with a "NOTICE DATE: APRIL 22, 2021" (took 10 days to get here????).

So President Biden says, "I am pleased to inform you that because of the American Rescue Plan, a direct deposit of $2800 was issued to you by direct deposit. If you haven't received your payment within 7 days of receiving this letter, please check the status of the payment by visiting the IRS website or calling the IRS phone number listed at the bottom of this page."

My first thought was "we're getting another pandemic bonus" but then I realized it was just trying to get a little more credit for something that happened way back on March 17 of this year.:(:(

I wonder how many people will be waiting and expecting another bonus.

If someone falls on one of the rebars, they'd also be falling onto one of the wooden stakes,

next vampire movie RNG will be starring as RNG The Impaler ;)

brother just left, had to ask for help to change bandages but showered, shaved and dressed

Dressings they sent me home with required surgical tape which I didn't have so brother picked up some big
bandaids on way over here. Nice that he is so close.
He took his Corvette to a Cars and Coffee meeting on Sunday across from Peddlers Village. He expected 35 cars.
It was a nice day and over 300 cars came, they had real parking challenges. Wide variety of cars including a new
Bugatti Chiron.

Correct on the bulge. Looking at picture it looks like it has worn some since I modified it many years ago. I bought it used from a shop that was going out of business. I use a brown fiber type grinding wheel. Only take light cuts. Going around chain several times if needed. I can change direction of wheel to leave minimal burr.
